I haven't actually watched it to make sure but G4 has been showing the Dark Knight previews which I presume will contain the footage from media day.
I have it DVR'ed so I'll let you all know if any of us are actually on it when I get a sec to watch.
-
It does! I didn't really see anyone I knew in it, but its still a pretty interesting clip. Too bad they got more of the public riders then the media event riders. Its only about a 2 or 3 minute clip.
-
Extreme Terror Rides is on right NOW on travel channel. A few of our members get some tv time ;). Kingda Ka is at the very end.
-
Will anyone be able to get a copy of the show and upload it here?
-
The whole show might be rather large.
I'll see if I can get a manageable size file with just the last Kingda Ka segment.
I'll try to do Flash this time for Bubba!
It airs a few more time if you missed it.
-
When does it air again? Of course, I missed it.
-
I hear Chloe got some airtime. I haven't seen it yet. It's on my DVR.
Red
-
YUP quite a bit actually.
Coastin Steve did the on-ride commentary (goggles and all lol) so we'll have to get this online somehow since I know he doesn't get Travel Channel.
-
I have the file...I just need someplace to upload it. ;)
-
how big is the file ?
-
Thanks Ken, good looking out.
-
And you should see the show in HD...Wow what a difference.
FIOS just got the Travel Channel in HD. Almost scary how clear it looked.
-
Thanks Ken! I just saw myself for about a second at 1:44 pulling down the restraints!
-
do you have the KK segment in HD ?
-
Trying to get it via a friends HD TIVO..
-
do you have the KK segment in HD ?
I got the whole show in HD. File is 6Gb!
I'll try to trim it down to see how big the Kingda Ka portion is.
But it does look beautiful!
-
bittorrent ?
-
Well, if you can hang in there for a few more weeks, the new gadvupdates.com being developed is on a host where I have unlimited bandwidth ;)
-
Hmmm I will have to get innervision to record it in HD since he also has FIOS HD. But we don't get the Travel HD until August 26th here. :(

LOL. No problemo.
Hey, thanks for the recap Bubba. I'm in the middle of watching Extreme Water Parks. Wet n' Wild and Schliterbahn look nuts! WnW added allot of theming since '89 with a light show in the 'ole Black Hole and enclosing the old Riptide Rapids action river. Sea World built the park in '77 and it's been reinventing the water park ever since.
Schliterbahn is three parks in one. It has an older section with action rivers using water from the river that runs through the park. The park on Long Island look beautiful and has a slide with animatronics in the queue!

-
Wahhhhhh!!!
-
Um, DVR?
-
They will probably be on 10 more times over the winter.
The Travel Channel does tend to reply things quite often.
Don't cancel your Dollywood trip to sit in front of the TV!
-
Don't worry Ken , I was telling Wade these shows will be on 50 more times this winter. Dollywood is still a go.

-
Anyone catch the Hard Rock Park episode of Colossal Construction on the Discover Science Channel?
My ReplayTV snagged it without me knowing it!
It is a shame this place won't be open again.
It looks like it had potential, but it doesn't look like it ever was completely finished.
Worth a watch if it airs again.
-
Set those PVR's. It looks like we get two new episodes of Extreme Terror Rides.
They start airing tonight on the Travel Channel...and probably 100 times after that.

- Schlitterbahn Waterpark
- Giant Drop
- Steel Hawg
- Slingshot
- Blue Bayou Water Park
- The Voyage
- Poseidon's Rage
- Sand Master Park
Extreme Terror Rides: Mega Speed (http://www.travelchannel.com/Travel_Ideas/Adventure_Travel_and_Sports/ci.Extreme_Terror_Rides_3.alternative?vgnextfmt=alternative): The fastest rides at amusement parks.
- Jet Boat Tour
- Hades
- SkyCoaster
- Steel Dragon 2000
- Pilgrim's Plunge
- Wave House
- Star Flyer
- Ring Racer
- River Boarding
-
It's DVR. Sandboarding? that sounds sweeet!
-
Some people are picky.
PVR may refer to:
* Personal Video Recorder, also known as a digital video recorder
-
Thanks for the heads up Ken. My PVR is set :D. Although I thought tonights show kinda sucked. And I'm not just saying that because of Voyage :). Seriously though, a sand park for sand boarders? While I'll admit that's cool, it isn't really a "ride" but whatever.
-
What about sandskiing?
-
That show was lame, Schlitterbahn and Voyage wanted to save it but couldn't.
**Just found mega speed will be on tonight @10, hopefully this is a little better.
-
If anyone has not seen the show Undercover Boss, Joel Manby, President and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment will be the topic this Sunday at 9 on CBS.
Here is a preview: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/undercover_boss/video/?pid=a9qUIKA_LZ7w6tjH_GsEtVa0Iy9bJ2xS&vs=homepage&play=true (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/undercover_boss/video/?pid=a9qUIKA_LZ7w6tjH_GsEtVa0Iy9bJ2xS&vs=homepage&play=true)
For anyone that has not seen it, it is a very good show in my opinion, and I would recommend it to anyone. If you want to watch any of the past episodes, all of them are on CBS's website. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/undercover_boss/ (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/undercover_boss/)
-
Omg I love that show. its really interesting
-
This show is usually pretty good...not like that show that Bert show.
National Geographic Channel - Worlds Toughest Fixes - Ultimate Water Ride (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/episode/ultimate-water-ride-5035/Overview#tab-Videos/08804_00)
Worlds Toughest Fixes is going on one wild ride - as we build the worlds longest water coaster, using some amazing new technology that could change the future of theme park rides - and modern transportation. Our destination - a quaint little town known as Santa Claus, Indiana, home to one of Americas classic amusement parks - Holiday World. Their latest creation is the Wildebeest. This eighteen hundred foot long ride combines the ups and downs of a traditional roller coaster with the big splashes of a water ride. And it uses some high-tech engines and the power of magnets to power it.
This park has an injured roller coaster -- and Riley is along for the ride as the engineers attempt to nurse it back to health.
-
They should show voyage sporting the timberliners. That would be a sight to see

Thanks for the heads up Tom. Just finished watching it. I wish they had focused a bit more on the South Jersey shore like Wildwood and Ocean City but as usual, they focused on the more well known stuff. Still a good show regardless and great to see an actual TRAVEL related show on the Travel Channel!
