As more employees start to get into the park to help get things ready for Opening Day this Saturday, it seems like more things are discovered as well! Some good, and well some not so good.

Reports are coming in from the park that the Great American Scream Machine is being removed!! The park has never mentioned that they wanted to get rid of this ride so this comes as quite a shock. And especially to be doing it the week before Opening Day.. Maybe they are trying to start 2010 construction early?

Now I can't say that Scream Machine is my favorite ride in the park but this is still sad news! Considering how long it's been in operation I hope the park makes a nice statement soon.

Superman could "fight" him from right around the corner, and INTAMIN could break the record it has with Colossus (http://rcdb.com/id1412.htm) by adding in an 11th inversion. GASM is a classic, and a workhorse, but it hurts!

Hoping that maybe the removal was just a rumor that went around all the employees and spread like a virus.

Its the honest truth. The sad thing is i only rode it 4 times :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(.

Post by: jimmybjammin on July 09, 2010, 10:05:28 PM: I rode it 10 in a row then it broke and I screamed YES! It was until the ride broke prior to closing at 8pm on the 30th. I took a ton of pics. I'll do the same thing if I can ever conquer Superman without it breaking with me upside down for half an hour within the first 5 rides..
