Title: Fright Fest Improvements
Post by: kingdakafan on September 20, 2009, 09:35:19 PM

The chainsaw thing that they did like 5 years ago. They had the zombies hide in random places and pop out with the chainsaw(no chains for safety) at full song. That and make the park open later than 11 pm

Make it like they did 7 or 8 years ago.

We'll have a full preview of Fright Fest up soon since I just received the press kit.  It looks to me like there actually are a few good improvements this year :).

Could modify the Chiller station but if we are talking only for Frightfest, then obviously it wouldn't work.

It could go anywhere. We're not shy of empty space ;-)

The boardwalk could use a nice darkride. Frontier Adventures seems like a nice place for a nice Haunted Mansion too. Fantasy Forest kinda already has one!!!

it be cool if they renamed some rides like El Toro to Torso and have dead bodies hanging from the sign. Nitro into FreakShow. Lol.
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements
Post by: B-mac on September 23, 2009, 03:10:04 PM
That could be a little too much. They still have to keep "family" as a part of Fright fest. Who would want their 5-7 year old kid looking at a ride with dead bodies hanging from it, that and people would think something bad has happened
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements
Post by: CoasterPrince on September 23, 2009, 05:29:23 PM
Well you'd have to pretty stupid to think there are real dead people hanging from El Toro's sign and I remember the one year they had the dead bodies hanging from the Dusa Bridge lamp posts. It's something like that.
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements
Post by: PcMan on September 24, 2009, 01:54:42 PM

they should take a few pointers from SFNE and Lake Compounce
ALL THEY NEED TO DO IT   MAKE IT DARK

the haunted trail a few years ago wasn't scary because you could see light shinning in from "other areas"
so you can see whats coming up
when its dark you really don't even need to much effects the dark is the effect

this is what I remember from SFNE  it wasn't much but it was dark where it needed to be

stay open a little later or at least some of the haunted attractions  after waiting in those long lines its already time to close (mostly near Halloween) or go when its a drizzle and get on everything a few times

Well in 2010 Fright Fest will be darker. My character Claws will be the icon for the whole event. Demented Forest and Escape From The Asylum will come back but both will be longer and darker. There will be one new Terror Trail called THE LIFE AND CRIMES OF CLAWS. It willl be in the stunt arena! Lakfront Graveyard, Circus Pshcho, and The Bloody Fountain will come back but there will be 4 new haunted midways! They are Ghost Town (Frontier Adventures.), Camp Sunshine (Bridge between El Toro and Bizarro.), Torther Chamber (Walk to Bizarro.), Gotham City (Movie Town.) All the normal shows will return but a new Claws show will come. Mant rides will have darker and scareier tones. 2 trains on Nitro will go backwards. Skull Mountain will feature new scary effects. Bizarro will be a Claws themed ride with a new scary soundtrack on the spekers.

Thank you everyone! It mean a lot that every body cares about Claws. I just spoke to SIX FLAGS yesterday, and they gave me more information. This year they strongly suggest kids leave at 6! The Awakening is very cool! I wrote the script. The Ghoul Master and his half dog/half man pet Spike awaken Claws. Dr. Fright fights The Ghoul Master because he wants to be the leader of Fright Fest. Claws stabs Dr. Fright!!! AND CHAINSAW GUYS RUN INTO THE CROWD!!!!!!!!! I will keep you guys up to speed about what's happening. CLAWS COASTER WILL OPEN SPRING 2011!!!!!!!

I know everyone thinks i am on drugs or something but i really have been talking Six Flags. We are sending mail to each other. Six Flags since THE DARK KNIGHT COASTER and BIZARRO, have been creating new high themed thrills. This FRIGHT FEST will be the most themed ever. CLAWS is in every scare zone. He also has his own TERROR TRAIL this year. CLAWS COASTER? Im not to sure of yet. Since DARK KNIGHT is still a new ride. But i am sure of FRIGHT FEST! They gave me a cool idea. They said that these big speakers are going to be all over the park in all scare zones. On them you will hear all of CLAW'S great lines. I will keep you posted on what's happening. And IT IS HAPPENING!!!! Thanks for all the comments!!! Keep it up!

No. It's a character that this guy made up and you are all beilieving him. You can't call Six Flags and ask them what there doing for 2010 Fright Fest. It's not that simple. Bottom Line Claws is not coming to Gadv.

CLAWS is a made up character. And i did not call them CoasterPrince. I sent them a letter. CLAWS is coming to Six Flags and Fright Fest will be better with him in it.
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements
Post by: B-mac on November 21, 2009, 04:28:54 PM
I'm not saying I don't believe it, I'm not saying it like Coaster prince, but it's way too early to say what six flags would be doing for fright fest next year. Honestly, I congratulate you for the claws idea and I would congratulate you further that six flags is actually considering it. I submitted an idea to six flags too, I didn't do it the way you said you currently are. You know the main street shop right at the entrance? You've seen the pictures on the walls in that shop, right? Well, that was my idea.
I'm just saying though, don't blow it way too far out of proportion, Six flags won't go that far for an idea. He could just be a featured character with some merchandise and maybe his own show, they won't have his "lines" on speakers in the park and they won't give him his own ride. You've got a lot of time until the next fright fest, so it's too early for those kinds of plans.

Hey, just to let you know, CLAWS is a musical show i made up. But do not think you are going to see CLAWS running around singing. He is much darker at Fright Fest. Also, Six Flags said THE DARK KNIGHT Coaster will be CLAWS COASTER only during Fright Fest.

I'm not trying to be mean, but no one knows what your "Claws" charecter is,and your "claws" won't be used for anything.Re-theming TDK for a month would be pointless and cost money, and that would take budget away from the rest of the Fright Fest attractions.

Also Six Flags never said any of this, nor did they probably even think about using the charecter.
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements
Post by: 555clawsrocks10 on December 09, 2009, 05:18:07 PM
hey Mike13, Everything in TDK is staying. All the stuff they have in it now is not going anywhere. They are just puting Claws in the ride and a new pre-show. Thats it.

oh, and of course they did not say anything about it because nothing is going to be said until next years october

*rj edit*
No need to double-post, just edit your last post if no one posted after it, and it's soon after.

No one even knows with certainty who will own Great Adventure next October (more on that issue will be decided Friday), who will manage it or with what available funds.  And yet you know exactly what plans are in place to retheme a relatively new ride for a single month next year?

Sorry, I, among many, do not buy any of it.

I have bookmarked this thread and will revive it the first night of Fright Fest (if there is one) next year.

Stay tuned.

I am not fully calling it lame, but I am calling it a bluff. It sounds like something that comes from the dippin' dots guy.

When you go and say that Six Flags said this was happening, with no proof, then your comments are going to be taken with a grain of salt. That's just how it is.
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements

Some of the ideas aren't that bad, but I totally agree with what steve said. Until you can provide proof that six flags is even considering it, I honestly don't believe it's going to happen at all.
Title: Re: Fright Fest Improvements

I think it's plenty fair to not take it seriously Kingdakafan,it sounds like a cheesy ripoff of Talon from Dorney,Claws and Talons are basically the same thing.I'm usually never one to be mean but it's funny that he's convinced himself that they are using "Claws"

Also if somehow they did make an agreement to use his claws charecter thing, most likely there would be a contract that says you can't talk about it or whatever,so I would say chances of Six Flags actually considering the idea 1 in 10,000...

I'm just adding, but this site is chock-full of coaster and theme park enthusiasts. If you really want to post a rumor, you have to give some sort of proof to it. So far, other than reading six flags this, six flags that from the maker of the idea, I'm still not a believer. It's WAY too soon for 2010 fright fest plans. If it were in like august, I might believe it.

Cedar Fair doesn't believe in dark rides, and is known for removing them left and right.  And, when they try to theme, the result is often...how to be charitable?...uh, interesting.  See Disaster Transport at Cedar Point, The Crypt at Kings Island, etc.

that person would still be bragging about it.

With persistency though (about CLAWS), the "normal" person gives up within a couple of minutes to a few weeks. If I am right, we might not be hearing anything about claws in February at the latest.

Yet there is truth to it, SF probably couldn't buy anything from CF either.

At this point, Six Flags can do nothing (including Claws) without approval of the bankruptcy judge.  More about which, tomorrow.

Cedar Fair doesn't have enough money and credit at this point to buy Six Flags Great Adventure's trash cans, much less the park.

BOOOOOOOOOM! LOL

Is Claws likely, probably not.  But, never write anything off. Afterall, you just may have never heard about what Six Flags has up their sleeves (http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2009/09/six-flags-blogger-call-ii.html)

For the lazy:

Another item to look forward to is Six Flags plans to create and market their own unique characters and content. This allows them to own them outright, and that falls down the line to merchandise, goodwill, and more, much of which helps them extend the Six Flags brand.

*edit*
And for extra fun, cause I like doing that...

Just some food for thought.

WOW! So many comments! You guys, i have been a Six Flags fan my whole life. I trust Six Flags will take good care of my idea. For everyone who dose not think its true, ok. It dose sound like some crazy person with big dreams. But six flags needs CLAWS! To bring in some money! TDKC thing is a wish. I talked to SF about it and they are trying to get premission from DC Comics to re theme the ride. Oh, and who ever said claws is like Talon... HE IS A PERSON! Not a creature! So, i will keep you guys posted about CLAWS. kEEP the coments coming!

Will you be testifying in bankruptcy court in March during the confirmation hearing about future spending by the company?

GADVwow, who just HAD to

What are you talking about GADVwow??? I am only working with SF on Claws. That's it! I have no clue on Sf's bankruptcy. Sf just said they want CLAWS to bring in some cash. Also, they liked the idea and think people will like him. So what the hell are you talking about!

It costs money to make money.

cost of claws> revenue from claws

That all major spending will be reviewed by the court along with future product/ride/service plans.  I figured if you were so essential to Great Adventure's plans, they'd have you testify in an effort to gain approval for their plans.

So right now if SF is dying over your idea for fright fest 10 months from now, they would be telling the judge how it would be vital to their profits in 2010.

He just won't give up  :headbash:

I applaud  :golfclap: your persistance, but these things will never happen.

As GADVwow said, they won't make a profit off of "Claws".There is alot more things they could do now that would earn SF more money, without spending alot on something like Claws that would turn out as popular as the Spy Kids Stunt Show...

^Yes, that part is true.

however, his persistance surprises me. Most "normal" people give up within a few minutes to maybe a day or two, How long has this been going on? Like three weeks, a month, maybe.

haha I love thinking of something funny and then end up laughing hysterically and then people look at me weird, but it's all good.My teachers would never kick us out though,in all my classes we all talk/laugh alot and don't pay attention. My principals are complete douches though so they would probably give us detention no matter what if we did get sent down.

I just don't see why he keeps going on with his ideas,no one believes them and we take them as a complete joke now lol

So you're giving up on your "idea" about claws and done trying to convince us it's true because no one believes it? You'll get real far with that attitude.

I like Ken's idea though. We could go places with that one

Six Flags standard written response to idea presenters, as directed by its attorneys, say something to this ilk:

Thank you for your proposal.  Please know that in order to protect intellectual property rights, the people who opened your letter do not have access to the rest of the company, and have disposed of it.  We regret that these actions are necessary as in the best interests of Six Flags and its shareholders.  We thank you for your interest in our company and its parks, and hope you continue to patronize our fine attractions in the future.

Given that, could you scan your letter and post it?  We'd be MOST interested in seeing it.

GADVwow, who has a strong interest in matters exactly like these (for reasons that are and must remain known only to a few here).

So, it turns out that the Fright Fest plans are going to be put aside. However, we still might be seeing Claws at Six Flags this summer! Six Flags has granted me premission to use the Showcase Theater for my show CLAWS The Musical. It is a show full of romance, revenge, magic, and fear. Check out http://www.clawsthemusical.weebly.com/ (http://www.clawsthemusical.weebly.com/) for more info!

There isn't going to be Claws The Musical either dood.I don't know what else you can possibly come up with.Six Flags doesn't take ideas from people unless it's in those surveys for what Guests want such as new rides, shows or whatever.

And they are going to staff the theater for this when they wouldn't even staff it to show DVD's from Dick Clark Productions they already have the rights to and could subject the viewers to advertising in exchange for a promotional consideration?

Yeah, right.

Hey everyone. This is Jake Ruhl. I now realize that this site is not meant to spam on. I'm sorry about going to far with the whole "Claws" idea. I do like sharing my ideas, but I should only share them once, not 1,000 times. So I'm sorry. All I can say now is that I sent Six Flags a new idea for Claws. This time, he's a mad scientist/inventor. He has a helper named Igor and has invited park guests to enter their world called "Wonderland". The world is dark, creepy, and twisted. I asked for the idea to be used at Skull Mountain during Fright Fest. It's kind of like "Terror Twister" at Six Flags Great America. Where they add lights, fog, and music to the Tea Cups. Skull Mountain would be the perfect ride for that! And Claws is not evil. He's just crazy. Six Flags would fill SM with fog, props from previous Fright Fest things, strobes, and a new soundtrack. It would be awesome! This is the only time I will post this idea. Please feel free to comment on it. Hope you like it! Thanks! :)

Hey B-Mac. Yes we did. I was just telling everyone that I'm done spaming my Claws idea. I sent my final idea to Six Flags and they did respond. They fowarded my idea to the head of Ride Production. Hopefully it works. But yeah, Claws would be great at Fright Fest. All year around is too much I think. I also sent the script for my "Claws" movie to Walt Disney Pictures yesterday. It has many Disney Chanel stars in it but it's very Alice in Wonderlandish. Very strange but funny and thrilling. Hopefully Disney sees a great story and makes the film! :)
