Six Flags has completely redone the map for Great adventure this year as well as all the other parks too. I like this design a lot better. Its a huge Improvement. Also, Medusas train on the map is a different color now. :D

jglonek's note: I moved this to the news section because, well, it really is news!
I think we can pick apart this map for days, it has some interesting things in it. And I see that on this and even on the website itself (http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/info/parkmap.aspx) nothing is named yet. So who knows what Medusa is going to be called! I still doubt it's staying Medusa, but I wanted to check with this new map :)
Great find guys!

I cant find Chiller, somebody help me out :P
-
Also noticed that MR. Six is back on the home page!
-
Wow tons of color and plenty of landscaping. I like how the rides are bigger in scale making the park look full and not so empty. The bridge on the map should help out traffic flow too.
-
Whoa....is this really Great Adventure?
-
I feel like I am being duped but then again I see the sky is falling.
-
looks awesome. The coaster trains are actually pretty detailed and resemble the actual trains, unlike on the old map.
-
The mysterious yellow train is back on Ka!
-
I actually zoomed in on the parks website and its orange.
-
The crammed style with the huge rides, and the fireworks in the sky over the bandstand reminds me of something out of the 80's. I like it a lot.
-
This is my favorite park map that I can remember. It is good to see that the years old rehashed map has been given the boot. It's also nice to see the rides look a little more accurate as well.
-
I forget, but do they still have the Souvineer Maps?
-
^Idk but I need an updated version =)
-
It looks like I'm going to have to go Jenks to get my Himalaya/Big swings/Bumper car fix locally.
I do like the the new map, especially the water flowing out Skull mountain.
-
So it looks like Houdini made the map this year. ???
Nice map but they really need to fix this picture on their website.
Link (http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/rides/ElToro.aspx) (at least photoshop a bull head on there.)

If the map is truly accurate, that is great news Ken. Also, check out those cable cars!
The Great American Scream Machine didn't get its name for nothing. With a 15.5 - story drop, seven monstrous loops, one corkscrew and two boomerang loops, your vocal chords are guaranteed to get a workout.
Scream Machine has 10 inversions!
-
Ken , I so agree they should use the real thing. I don't mind them using the same B&M hyper train for Goliath, Raging Bull, and Nitro but that photo isn't even close.
-
but what is that opening in the very back of the park by the Stunt Arena? It has a Showcase theather type tent along with a few other bulidings. ???
-
^ That's the Garden of eatin' picnic pavilion
-
two things though.
Is it open to th public? and what all the other bulidings in front of it?
-
Is it open to th public?
-Only if your group has paid for use of the picnic area (meal plan). There is a gate where you have to present an entrance ticket. And then all the catered food you can handle!! (Rumor is they may even have Hagen Daz!)
What all the other buildings in front of it?
-Depending on your fire of "front".. The Showcase Theater is in front which wasn't used much last season. There are also several enclosed picnic / bathrooms areas in the area.
-
It looks very good... last years map always fell apart i wonder if it will do it this year
-
I still miss the Poster Size Maps. I have one hanging over my Computer at home. But the new one's art is Great, and they are accurate representation's of everything.
-
I have mine hanging above my head on top of my bed. But the representation of the coasters was horrible! Nitro doesnt have a loop!
