Title: The Chiller is going to Brazil!
Post by: jglonek on July 02, 2012, 02:47:53 PM
According to multiple website that cover Beto Carrero World (http://www.betocarrero.com.br/) in Brazil, the park has begun to receive it's new coaster for next year - Chiller!

Here is the information from one such website (http://worldparksblog.blogspot.com/2012/06/beto-carrero-chiller-chega-na-tarde.html) (translated):

Quote
Beto Carrero: The chiller comes on this Friday afternoon (29)

Silently, the Beto Carrero World begins to receive today what will be one of the biggest attractions of the park.

According to unofficial information, this is a new roller coaster called The Chiller and being brought into the United States. The toy would have been purchased from the Six Flags in New Jersey, where he worked for 10 years. The roller coaster gained fame in the land of Uncle Sam for being the official attraction of superheroes Batman and Robin and reach speeds of 110 km / h.

About 60 containers arrive in the early afternoon to the Port of ItapoĆ” with pieces of the toy. A spokesperson for the port could not tell if the charge carries a roller coaster full or part, but has confirmed that the United States and the recipient is the Park of Penha.

Officially, the Park Beto Carrero World chose not to speak. Just said that several attractions should arrive by the end of the year.

I do wish this park the best with the ride, and it will be great to see it up and running again.

Thanks for finding this information Austin!

Glad it finally has a new home that isn't a farm. Hope they can keep the uptime better than we were.

I thought after all these years that it would never find a home. It's nice to see it get a second shot at life.

It should do better this time around. It will have a new electrical system that wasn't trashed like when it was at great adventure.

No kidding...Hopefully they install it correctly and provide each side with proper generators. If they can get it up and running id be extremely happy to see one of my favorite coasters as a child up and running again

Chiller is definitely in Brazil!

I do have to say it looks a little worse for wear. I guess that's what happens when it sits in a farm for years.

Also it's nice to see that they are investing in BOTH sides

Didn't it just get painted before being taken down as well?  Regardless, I'm sure overall it's fine.  I'm really curious how they make out operating it being that it will need all new computers, LIM's and trains.

It did, but that was a few years ago. Weather and sun bleaching can do a lot when not maintained.

Look at Nitro.

I'm glad Chiller got a new home, definitely deserved a legitimate second chance instead of the paperweight treatment it got back here. Will I go to Brazil to ride it? HELLLLLLLLL NO!

I guess that doesn't suck about Chiller anymore. We won't have to see it all messed up like that. (only a few of you will understand this post)
