Title: kingda ka

i was at SFGA the other day and while i was on line for kingda ka and i was next when the roller coaster didn't travel all the way up and came back down. I know this is a normal accurence but when the train came back to the station, about 4 people were crying hestercically and got off. i was just wondering if this has happened to any of you? and if it has does it hurt?

Sure wish it was me, still waiting for it to happen to me !!! I wouldn't think that it would hurt but I haven't had it happen to me yet .

It DOESN'T HURT!!  Its one of the coolest experiences on a coaster ever though!

They were probably just freaked out by it all.  Its actually really smooth and fun when it happens :)

you know your a coaster enthusiast when you pray for a rollback on Kingda Ka. ;D

Still waiting for my roll back !!! Haven't had the luck on either TTD or KK. Maybe one day I pray for it during every ride I  take  ;D

i was praying for it at first until i saw those people and i was like "oh crap". but thanks to u guys i can go back to praying for it ;D

so wade you got a rollback?
after 83 rides I still have not had the lucky chance of a rollback.
maybe next time

Yes, definately keep praying for it LOL  The best part is, you get to ride two times in a row!!! ;)

edit:  My rollback was on media day with Action News in the front seats - I was second row of the 1st car :)

I was lucky enough to get a rollback on Volcano...but never have had on one on Kingda Ka orTop Thrill.  Not for the lack of wanting one, though!

I am envious of those who have gotten one!  :)

Agreed on the Rollback! I got one in the FRONT ROW! It was just amazing! We were climbing up the hill, came to the top, saw the horizon, and slowed down.....then went backwards!

I HIGHLY recommend it!

I want to go on a really windy, cold day so the rollback chances are higher.

Really windy days have higher chances of it closing for weather...
