How about renaming it Scream Machine 2? It's lame and uncreative, but it's a more marketable name than "Chang" and it'll still give the same headaches. So why not?
Of course they can be even less creative and call it "Green Lantern" since the movie will be out next June.
(I realize we may end up not getting Chang, but the new ride will still need a name)
-
If they care one bit about keeping the boardwalk theme in that area, then they shouldn't name it after a movie.
-
They haven't cared about keeping the theme in that section since Superman came in.
It all went downhill after that.
-
It will be called "PF Chang" with a restaurant themed queue
-
I'm down for that
-
If only they'd give you free food.
-
I thought you were shooting for Wonder Woman...
-
FLIP FLOP
-
The Great American Chang Machine
-
LOL Rob, that's great!!
-
And as much as Mr. Kinzel likes nickels, were it a Cedar Fair park, it could be The Great American ChangE Machine! :)

Standup_Twister_Coaster_1
-
Maybe they will call it shockwave .... like the last standup coaster we had !!..
-
Chuck Robbins is heading towards Standup_Twister_Coaster_1
-
Standup_Twister_Coaster_1 good value.
-
Standup_Twister_Coaster_1 good value.
I can actually bank on an abbreviated name like STC1 or something.
-
I say its gonna be called Twist: Sponsored by Axe
-
I think a name like Nor'Easter or Storm Surge (someone else proposed Storm Surge) along with a storm theme would be really cool for the ride. I think Green Lantern would be cool too, as long as the coaster had a storyline like The Incredible Hulk.
-
Six flags, Story line .... Dont think so
-
I say its gonna be called Twist: Sponsored by Axe
hahahaha. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if that actually happened, which is that sad part.
-
I'd call it ChangE...
-
too bad it isnt in movie town. then we could call it the bruce wayne coaster. but green lantern sounds like a good name.
-
I wouldn't get my hopes up on that one. Rather than pay for a theme, I look for current management to expect to be paid for using a theme. Perhaps the Miracle Whipped Mile or something similarly commercial...
-
I see them using a name they already own and have materials ready for. Like Goliath, Viper, etc.
I'd really be shocked if they licensed anything like the Green Lantern.
-
^ if they do that they could name it vipers revenge since we had a viper already.
-
Shockwave 2
-
Given that name is in use at Kings Dominion, now owned by Cedar Fair, I don't see Six Flags risking using it...and yes, I know of the name's past.
-
The best Shockwave ever is still kicking at SFoT. ;)
-
Indeed...and the worst closed for a Superman: Ultimate Flight (instead of Whizzer doing the exiting)...
-
I actually liked Chicago's Shockwave. GASM was better, but I didn't headbang on the Illinois version.
-
How was it better especially if it banged your head? They were almost exactly the same ride. I liked both. Losing Shock Wave was a bigger loss for me at the time though.
