I'm downloading it now. The license is good until June 1 of next year, so it is a good way to LEGALLY play with the new version of Windows...
(10 Hours Remaining at 85KB/sec)

June 1 2007 I didn't catch that not bad.
I let it go overnight
Yesterday it was really slow when the word got out
I first started around 400-600kb then it dropped to around 100k later at night.
THe network setup in vista is completely different.
I have free copy if anyone needs one (I have the 64bit version)
JUST DON"T INSTALL ON YOUR MAIN MACHINE or make it it's own partition.
How bout that EL Toro.
note:this is legal it's a public beta

I was tempted to download the 64bit for my AMD, but decided against it because of driver compatibility and the fact I wanna play with all my current peripherals that may not have 64bit drivers...
And yes, perfectly legit! (Unlike the other versions of Vista I have see floating around the Internet)

Five Things You Should Know Before Installing Vista Beta Two:

I'm all over it
-
1) You'd better have a DVD burner - DUH! I wouldn't have spent 5 hours downloading it! ;)
2) It goes dead in 2007, so if Microsoft delays Vista again - Yup.
3) You're stuck with Vista - It's beta, not a real OS. If you are using it that way...uhhh DUH!
4) You're stuck with Vista, deux - See #3.
5) There are lots of "gotchas" - See #3.
Obviously these 5 things are aimed at the less computer savvy, but I just find them kind of funny!
The Download only took about 5 hours. I will be installing it on my main system tonight. (After cloning it of course!) I'll probably throw it in VMWare as well, to put on my laptop to play with. Hopefully it will run a little better than the previous Beta copy that I got to play with...

I read that it eats laptop batteries.
I'm sure this will be fixed.
I have the older version on my 2nd hard drive and haven't used it in awhile.
But will give this one another try and also throw it on a few laptops to see how they run.
If you ever need any laptop parts let me know ram(cheap),hard drive, wifi,AC, etc.
