Wow. I didn't see this coming, there goes another non-coaster attraction, out the window... :(

WOW how sad is it to see Koala canyon and riptide gone as well as Freefall. I wonder also what is going on over where spinmeiser was? looks like there is some sort of work going on there. Thanks Phil for the photos

Wiggles World Wade? :(

I say its about time they got rid of Koala Canyon. They havent opened it in 2 years I believe? Put something that will work there making the park more prosperous.

Last year was the only year the gates never opened. I remember going since 2003. I believe either one of the pumps broke or they didn't have enough pumps to circulate the water better.
In the end by the tunnel, I remember the water would get pretty hazy in that 2ft section. Maybe new health codes made them close it last year. Now with the Wiggles coming ,it just gives them that much more room to work with.
Rip Tide was another maintenance headache that know one got around to until the last two years, by that time it was too late.
At least we still have Coal Cracker near by to get our Hydro Flume fix.

Great pics. Thank God for this site during the off season to give us or GA fix.
-
Riptide was down so much over the season that while I'll miss seeing it, I can see why they'd dismantle it. As for Koala Canyon, I guess it will take on new live as Wiggles World. There's no better location for it.

Went on Riptide for the first time in a long time this season, not a bad ride at all and I'll miss it for sure.
The thing is, Riptide is essentially what divides the "front half" of LTSP from the "back half" of LTSP, so a removal like this should, in concept, make the area flow much better and with Wiggles World coming in I think that's important.

I have to agree that it does divide up LTS . I wonder if they will keep the bridge or dismantle that too . I guess we will have to wait and see.
