Title: Disney Updating Character's Heads
Post by: gorf1000 on January 22, 2007, 10:01:41 AM
Disney's added some pretty cool new mechanics to their character's heads allowing the mouths to move nearly synchronously to the music.  Check out the engadget.com link for a short article and the google link for a video clip of the show.

We actually just saw the castle stage show on Saturday and were totally amazed by the moving mouths and eyes.  Its really impressive to watch.

It would be awesome if they could get them to work like Crush in Turtle Talk and have the mouth live animate as the person speaks.

Another reason I can't wait to go to Disney!

Chuck, this may sound lame but trust me, go see Turtle Talk at the Living Seas in Epcot.  It may be a childrens show but it is not only hysterical but also amazingly well done from a technology POV.

I agree with Wade go see turtle Talk with crush. The kids loved it and to us adults it was pretty cool. Lots of adults saying how did they do that at the end of the show. A MUST see in epcot.
