Title: HELP ...Hotel in the GADV Area question..
Post by: coastermom on March 23, 2007, 09:35:47 AM
Ok we are coming home from SC on Tuesday night so we figured that we could get a hotel near the park somewhere to get there early Wed, morning. Any hotels close to the NJT where we might be able to stop ? I think I remember one near exit 5 near a cracker barrel . Does anyone know the name of it? How about the new one off of 195 near the shopping center is that done yet? I think that is the exit right before or after the NJT enterance to 195 depending on how you come to the park.  Any and all help is need guys thanks  :)

There are hotels at Exit 7 in the Bordentown area. The Exit 5 area has more places to eat likes Friendlys, McDonalds and the Cracker Barrel. I'm not sure which hotel chain has added a hotel in Hamilton. I checked Best Western and Holiday Inn and there is no listing for Hamilton, NJ.

Exit 5 is Burlington/Mt Holly.  From that point you are about half an hour from the park.  There are several hotels there, including a Best Western and I think a Comfort Inn.  There is one other, but I don't recall it right now.  There is also a slew of places to eat as you head towards Burlington, just off of the exit.  Coming from the south that may be an ideal stop if you want to do the park the next day.

Speaking of camping, has anyone ever checked out Timberland Lakes Campground?  Do they have tent sites, or is it all RV?

Maybe right there under KK?? Well it looks like we will try to get a room on the NJT around exit 5 . But if we had a hotel this wouldn't be an issue now!! Oh well there is always the future .

I loved that horn!  From what was floating around the net, it seemed that there were complaints about it from the surrounding communities.  I never heard if there was any truth to that though.  The one thing that did hold true was that it only blew when it was starting up, or when starting after downtime.

Nobody wants to stay here with my kids LOL

I can 100% confirm that the horn disappeared due to neighbor complaints.

Well just look at the houses right outside the parking lot . They had to hear it. That is why when the hotel was in their thoughts I never understood how they were going to put it right next to kk. Just think of hearing that horn early in the morning while resting in a hotel. NOW THAT IS A WAKE UP CALL :)
