Just a quick update. This was my first visit this year.
We started off on the wrong foot but it got better from there. The new toll plaze isn't working very well.

It's was pretty darn cold but that kept the crowds away. Today we dedicated the day to my 2 year old Conner.

It looked pretty darn smooth.

As of noon El Tora was running with water dumbies and Kinda Ka wasn't doing much of anything.
Freefall is gone, but you guys knew that already :)

We were home by 1:30pm and Conner was fast as sleep in the car.

Thanks for trip report and pics. Hopefully Robin will be open for tmrw.

Rumor has it that it will.

Chiller looks so different
Yes I think that is the only problem this year the Toll booths.
I didn't even see those painted words on the ground when I went .
I like that name Connor, I mean Conner ;)
-
It is so quiet too. The launch is so much more tame now. But the rest of the track is pretty much the same audible.
-
Did it seem to go higher up the spike ?

Nope, it went to the same height as it has been going. The wheel bearing are really dirty though...
-
Does it look like it goes through that "hump" with a lot of speed???
It looks like it could possible hurt since there's little to no banking on it.
-
It goes through pretty good actually. Its not a sudden jerk but very smooth transition. Its not as good as the rolls but its satisfactory.

Chiller is open!
"Smooth but boring"
From DrunkMunkey on Source.

The fact that Robin is even making it through the course in this cold weather is impressive enough for me. I'll hold my judgement until it warms up outside because I have a feeling this thing could end up having some kick when it gets that out of control feeling back :)
Esp Batman :)

I'm so bummed we missed Chiller. We were there until 5:30 and never even saw it test. Otherwise, it was a great day!

We were also there for part of the day on Friday. yes it was very cold. WE saw chiller test as well . ET did finally open as it was around 7:30 at night and we were leaving. Missed a roll back on KK by one train :(.
