As most of you Six Flags FanBoys know Great adventures has been letting off hints on what attraction will be leaving the park in the off season. They've been doing this by the Spider of Spider of doom. It is a inflatable spider that takes away all the good rides. Thusly, this year it is on Medusa entrance Sign!! Does this mean Medusa is going to go or the sign?
-
the spider is not 100% accurate. There are a lot of things that need to go before Medusa. But I can see it being opened later and less next season if there are any financial issues going on, since the coaster is about as far away from everything as you can get.
-
They know what rides go before they even put it up. The park is screwing with everyone.
I'm sure they are looking at these sites and just laughing that we are thinking Medusa is going.
-
If Medusa was to go they'd probably replace it with something pretty awsome considering the large space used for Medusa!
-
This park replace something?
-
Nah, it means that its one more year Medusa goes without a paintjob...
-
Maybe it means that they are getting rid of the "old" Medusa (as in the one with fading paint) and painting the coaster for next year.
-
That would be nice, as you know, alot of rumors are pointing to an X2 kind of treatment
-
I doubt it has any significance at all. Its a Halloween decoration.
-
^ Thats the most logical answer and probable answer :), but its 100x more fun to let the imagination take a stroll down dream street :P
-
I'm just gonna go along for this textual ride. :afro:
-
Please, the Spider of Doom hasn't been accurate alot lately, especially with it being on Chiller in 06.
-
^Yea I never thought i see Chiller go. :'( It was an Icon at Great Adventures!
-
Chiller? Whats Chiller? The last time the REAL chiller was in the park was when both sides ran!
You had a better chance of hitting 00 on a roulette wheel then seeing both sides run :-\
-
2000?
It was a very good year.
-
there was a short moment in I think 2003 when both sides ran with the lapbars. that only lasted for a month or two. yes, 2000 was a good year. as for the spider, I wouldn't read into it too far. it was probably just the best and easiest spot to install it. sorry for the bad punctuation - the q is no blackberry and is to much of a pita to hit caps everytime.
-
In 2006, they had both sides running with lapbars before Robin went down because of that incident.
-
oops, yes, chuck is right. I accidently hit the 3 instead of 6. now back to the spider of doom lol
