Because this offers insight into what may happen at Great Adventure, I have posted it here:

"You come to an amusement park to be in a different world," Jonathan said. "Otherwise it's just a parking lot with a bunch of roller coasters on it."
Sound a little, or very very very, firmiliar?
-
Those are not parking space lines you see under GASM.
They aren't.
You just think they are...
-
I don't know if Doug is referring to GASM, but all I know is that a few of the SF parks are pretty much coasters in a parking lot.
-
lol.. there are several "parkinglot coasters" in the chain. Take a look at SREAM.
Make it free," Shapiro said. "This is just something we don't need to nickel and dime people on."
i love that quote. Im so glad hes getting rid of some upcharges because they are rediculous.
and it sems as though were getting a look into which characters he wants to present. batman robin and superheros. sounds good to me!
-
Bringing characters such as Batman and Superman are such a good idea! Now they need more rides like The Flash and other DC comic superhereos.
-
Yeah, but Nick, most of their capital comes from games like those. Will they be giving out prized for people who reach the top of the topre climb, and ever if, think of the line of people that will be waiting for it since its free.
SCREAM is a prime axample of a parking lot coaster...GASM, SUF, and even Ka are all pretty much parking lot coasters that they just put grass under and themeing (alot for Ka)
-
Right, but rides like Eruption? This probably has the lowest ridership of all time.
-
Maybe he will also make the flash a walking character at the park. Or the swamp thing.
-

Yeah, that's one ride that deffinitly isn't worth paying for, and even if it was free, who knows how many people would ride it.
-
Having visited Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom many, many times, I can say with authority there were NO prizes for reaching the top of the climbing wall. The three dollar charge was to climb the wall....you either do or don't reach the top, but either way you get....nothing.
-
Rope Climb or a rock climbing wall? I'm a little confused here. I'm thinking it's more along the lines of the rope climbing game thats over by the Batman arena at GADV, rather then the walls on the boardwalk.
