Play G.M for a moment and pick the next coaster at Great Adventure, and where on earth would you put it?
-
Across the lake and start building !
-
Nothing would make me happier than a Gravity Group Woodie that went into the woods behind the lake.
-
I agree with across the lake. I would focus more on flats since the park doesn't need coasters.
-
If it was a coaster, it would be a GG woodie named The Jersey Devil going out along the lake in Frontier Adventures. Yes, the park would be very Woodie heavy in the west, but where else could you have The Jersey Devil?
What I really would put in is more flats, and higher capacity ones. Think Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin @ Magic Kingdom or the Reese's Cup Challenge @ Hershey Park. Added flats need to be things that can run in the rain to make the park more weather-proof. There's very few things guests can enjoy at the moment when the sky opens up, and that's one thing I picked up on very quickly with the Orlando parks, specifically Magic Kingdom when I was there on my College Program.
-
Don't stress the lack of flats... Canadas Wonderland is my home park. Great! flat selection. 4-5 great ones. 4-5 good ones. I'd trade all of them for 1 or 2 more great coasters.
And yes the correct answer is Gravity group woodie. With 4 sections of 90 degrees! haha
-
I feel the need to stress the lack of flats, since the park took them all out, and added kiddie sections. I feel we are nothing but a coaster and kiddie park.
-
I have to agree we need more FLATS ... the flats are almost all gone and we don't need anymore coasters ... Though the NJ Devil or Jersery Devil Idea is great .
Flats that move people through .. Buzz and hershey as well as MIB all move people fast in and fast out but keep it entertaining . Maybe a bugsbunny type of ride like Toy Story Mainia or even a Jersery Devil theme , Hell I would even take a played out superman , Batman theme if we could get a great flat ride into our park. Use the building for HGE since It doesn't seem to be coming back anyway ...
-
OK OK stress the flats a little (as the quality is sad) but a great flats are hard to find. We have one at Wonderland called sledgehammer. It look like it would be awesome, but i'ts quite tame and always broke. Theres even rummors of its removal even though its only 4-7 years old and it ran about 7 mil.
-
Sledgehammer is an awesome ride to look at. That ride is perfect for me because I hate flat rides.
Gadv needs a Huge drop tower.
-
Lots and lots of flat rides!
Flying Scooters
Tilt-A-Whirl
Ecstasy
Reverchon Explorer "Hang Ten"
Intamin Gyro Drop
Antique Cars
operating Bumper Cars
operating Wave Swinger
Enterprise
Wipeout
Rainbow
Monster Spin
Calypso
Jump
Zipper
Scrambler
Rotor
Chute The Chutes
Train
Dark Rides
No more coasters until they have something else to do!
-
Drop towers are a bit of a thing from the past. If you don't have one by now its too much to invest. Rarely do you see long lines for drop towers. At least not at Wonderland or Cedar point.
-
Dominator @ Dorney Park still can pull a crowd, so maybe the Jersey, PA, NY crowd is different? I never really hear about people not liking them.
-
I'm not saying they aren't popular still... All i'm saying is drop towers have had there day. They won't get you the return on investment they did 10 years ago. Unless they come up with a new concept. It seems kind of strange SFGA doesn't have one. Didn't they have one like demon drop at Cedar point before? Those are fun.
-
Yes , Stuntman's Freefall. It got to expensive to run so they removed it.
-
I would get a Dueling coaster! O0
-
Flats! My non-coaster loving son loves a good flat ride! There isn't much for Dane to do at Gadv anymore. :(
-
No more coasters!!!!!
-
I have to say I think the park needs more flat rides and family type rides . Like scrambler and the swings all stuff we had and they removed . The bumper cars the music express rides that take good amounts of people and rides that alot of heights can ride . We do not need any more coasters
-

Agreed :D
After bringing back bumper cars, musik express, enterprise, flying wave and the bulls, I'd say we also need a big splash down ride and a drop ride.
Problem is, nearly everything I just mentioned isn't marketable. Although a record breaking drop ride is :).
-
Very true Wade ... It is not marketable . It would however help break up some of the coaster lines . We really do need another water ride like a huge splash down and a record breaking drop would be SWEET !! One can dream huh ...
-
^ The record breaking water slide would be a GREAT addition to Great Adventure or Hurricane Harbor. :P
-
For height or length?
-
HEIGHT!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
