So , do you think Nitro or Superman would eventually get an expansion? And also medusa got transformed into bizarro, i think the great american scream machine should get something new and get transformed? What do you think? or a park expansion?
-
I think that's a great idea. But without the money Six Flags needs, it not very likely. If that did happen, I would like to see a fresh coat of paint and music on Nitro. Great American SM could use a little bit of a smoother ride, possibly replacing the rails. If I were to choose an expansion for the park, it would be to place an Aquatrax coaster over the lake near the Lake Front show.
P.S. Welcome to the site!

Nitro would be better to get an expansion.
-
Nitro really doesn't need a relaunch as it still pulls decent numbers. Although it could really use a rehab such as paint, station improvements, etc. The Medusa relaunch was partially due to ridership falling off. As for GASM... the next major work that ride will get I'm afraid to say is a wrecking ball. It's days are numbered.
-
Or a transfer
-
If GASM comes down, it's not to go up elsewhere. Arrow Megaloopers are dinosaurs.
-
As soon as six flags feels the urge to drop $20 mil. on SFGA then we all know whats happening.... Good bye GASM and in goes the dive machine. Its only a matter of time.
-
okay you can kill a clasic like GASM but thats not SF's way! And lets stop with the freakin dive machine predictions
-
Down with GASM down with GASM down with GASM!
When I went on my b day it was packed and GASM had a line in the station!

You think it's not SF's way, but Great America already tore down one of the triplets. Other than GASM, the only other one left is Viper @ Magic Mountain.
-
Yes but what do you all have against GASM. It a perfectly fine coaster and it doesn't have any problems. GASM also attracts eneough attention in a day. Heres the term.
IF IT ISN'T BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!
-
GASM yes is a good coaster but it looks old and rusty. It needed a paint job before madusa/ bazzrio did. So that should be a sign its days are numbered like Wade said.
-
I don't think anyone has anything against it except for the ear bashing and unplesant jolts. GASM doesn't pull crowds unless Superman's line is long and people don't want to wait, or people want to increase the value of their $ and get two rides for one rental.
-
The idea of GASM still holds weight... to bad the ride has had its day. It's like your old dog that pees on the floor cuz hes old.
-
GASM is perfectly fine, they should focus on the otherside of the park

It got a paint job in 2005. The freakin thing looked brand new. The gloss in the red paint has just worn off unfortunately.
-
I have never noticed GASM being bumpy. Rusty, yes. But rough, no.
-
It's not rough, it was just designed with wire coat hangers (http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Roller_Coaster#Arrow_Dynamics), so the transitions in and out of elements can be tough on the head if you're a prime candidate for head-banging.
-
There is nothing wrong with the ride and many including myself love gasm. I'm just saying from a purely business standpoint that its days are numbered.
-
There are tricks to riding GASM. pin your shoulders on the harness or pin your head to one side of the train. Ithink it's alot smoother since last year.
-
I think that IF gasm comes down they should bring back the new breed of stand up coasters to put in its spot. Then to match the superman theme, take part of the name from antother superman ride and just name it krypton coaster. Or they could put in a impulse coaster which seem to be going up everywere.
-
If they were to take down GASM, they clearly need a Spiderman caliber ride. That ride draws in such lines and its not even a roller coaster.

What the Hell kinda article is that?!!! >:(

I agree. In the 90's they replaced the tops of the loops. Which explains the track piece in the baboon exhibit.
