Just a word of warning to anyone wanting to head out to Great Adventure today: the park is closed. This is the information from their official Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/sixflagsgreatadventure?ref=nf):
Six Flags Great Adventure will not be open on Sunday, October 18 because of inclement weather including temperatures in the mid 40's and period of heavy rain. We apologize and invite you to visit us during one of the remaining Fright Fest days!!
We are definitely going to be hearing that this month's weather hurt business, which is unfortunate. We were going to go out yesterday but didn't due to the rain.. next weekend says possible showers.. oh boy.
-
It is also supposed to be in the 70's next weekend. So that is a lot better than 40.
-
I agree. I didn't go yesterday b/c of the freezing cold rain, and agree with the park closing today (that rain just seemed to hover in circles over Jackson all day according the radar), I wasn't going to head there till now since it cleared up, but figured the place would close early at the least due to the weather. I'll be there next weekend, have a lot to see for FF. I went to Dorney's Halloween haunt twice which was great. need a comparison. ;)

Wait until Thursday until deciding whether to go or not.
for predictions, it could be 70 and sunny now, and 32 and snowy tomorrow.
-
If it is on 70 one day it is highly unlikely to be 30 and snowy the next.

I had a little exagerration on that. But it has happened before when I was in florida in april.
on monday they said saturday would be 77 and sunny. On Tuesday it changed to 86 and rainy.
-
the weather forcasts are rather wild for anything more than 24 hours. I've seen it that far off about an upcoming saturday where it completely changes the forcast between monday and tuesday (from sunny to rain, 20 degree differences, etc). Waiting for a fast one where it drops 50 degrees over a week. If it does that in NJ, I think I'll move.

I remember days when they said we could get a tornado and there wasn't even a wisp of a cloud. That's why I don't watch TWC.
-
But we are finally going to get that Tornado!
-
After how many years of waiting?
-
^I hope you know he is talking the ride Tornado.Haha
-
^ Yeah, I know that. But really, how long have we waited for that slide?
-
2-3 years I think?
-
More like 8.
-
^ yes, but where will it go?
-
Probably in the open wooded area between the raft slides and the lazy river.
-
More like 8.
