Title: Funatics club
Post by: B-mac on March 30, 2010, 04:16:38 PM
I just have a few questions about the fanatics club. I joined last year and haven't heard anything new about since frightfest.yes, I did do that questionnaire during the off season and I recommended/asked these...

-does it automatically renew, or do I have to re-submit?
-is there anything new earned from the visits?
-last year, there was five and two were expired before I earned them.(Bring a friend for free, and the season pass discount)

There are two different types of funatics this year. There is a regular funatics, and the season passholder funatics.

Regular funatics is available to anyone. It includes concert information, news about new attractions, special deals inside the park, ect.

Season Pass funatics has a tier reward system. With each visit, you get a reward. Some include free parking, or free upgrade to preferred, a free soda refill, and I know on your 5th visit you get 20% off your 2011 season pass when you purchase online.

Just renewed it for safety's sake... It didn't give me that "your e-mail has already been used" crap, so I guess I'm all set.

I just wish they were redeemable at any park.  Now that they can be earned at any park, it would make sense to make them redeemable at any park.  We bought out '10 passes at SFNE and have already received 2 Funatics rewards which are worthless to us since they have to be redeemed at SFNE and we have no plans to go there.

Same issue here.  I have a SFMM pass.  Fortunately I'll at least get something from the kids visiting with me but they don't go as often as I do.

Ya that would be the better thing to do. And they should have an award for going to every park in the US and you get like a 50% discount on a season pass? No, bad idea

Same here.  I bet a lot of people whose passes came from Kentucky Kingdom aren't very amused either.

This needs addressing.

Do you live in Georgia?

^ No he doesn't . That's what happens when you travel.  I had a Magic Mt pass last year and a Sfog the year before.   The funatics club only works where you bought your season pass from. I know some people who bought them last year cheaper at SFA or SFNE that live here and will not benefit using the pass at their home park.

I only got mine from SFoG last year because I ordered it online and that was the closest SF park to Orlando. It ended up being the only SF park I visited (once) until I moved back to South Jersey in September when I visited GADv about 3-4 times. I wasn't going to get a pass this year but it's only $50 to renew my SFoG one so I might as well. It'll pay for itself in one visit

I had to resign up for the 2010 rewards. I got 2 rewards emailed to me today for going on both days this weekend, but nothing for the opening weekend.
