Do I have to wait in LINE for a parking pass ??
I did not buy my parking pass yet and they are rainsing it to $40.
I just checked the website and YES IT SAYS $40.
Six Flags Great Adventure 2006 Season Parking $40.00
Receive one hang tag to display on your vehicle for unlimited parking on regular operating days during the 2006 season. Parking hang tag does not guarantee a space if the lot is full. Hang tag may only be used at Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor New Jersey.
-
The other real news there is it says HANG TAG.
I wonder if this means those of us who bought the exterior decals will now get hang tags?
-
We all knew this was coming, it's just a little earlier than planned. Look at it this way: $40 is still cheaper than if you paid $30 + $13 Shipping...
The website had said (until the redesign) that the prices ($30) were good until April 30th. Also note that the $40 is still a "Limited Time Offer". I would not be surprised if the parking pass hits $50 by the time summer comes around. In all honesty, $40 is STILL a deal. It is less than 3 visits.
^The Parking Sticker "problem" has been solved. This is the email I got from the park:Dear Stew,
Thank you for your email.
Since a lot of guests have had the same concerns you do, we have
changed the procedure for the parking pass a little. You can affix it to
the back of the season pass of the person who is going to come the most.
If it is on your car and you are able to remove it, please bring it to
Guest Relations and we will replace it for you.
Best regards,
I still haven't stuck it to my pass, I just hold it up as I drive through. Haven't had a problem doing that yet. (3 Visits since I got the Sticker on Opening Day)
-
And I figure we are looking at several more increases in season pass prices before the season ends...
-
Probably. I wouldn't be surprised to see them hit $99.99 too. (Also note the "Offer ends 4/30/2006" on the $89.99 Passes)
-
Yes
well I can't complain it is still a good deal
season pass I paid $74
I will be paying $40
and last year I bought a pass then I got a free pass I had to sell so I'm about even.
but like they said before the $30 was good until the 30th but it's only the 16th ?
I just need to buy early both passes next time
Also where do I buy the pass is there a special line I have to wait in at the tool booth ?
when I go I just want to make it a smooth entry
I don't want to be in the wrong line
thanks
-
You can buy a parking pass at ANY toll booth except maybe the Season Parking Pass only ones...and basically they've been moving so slowly there (the ones to the far left), I don't recommend using them anyway.
-
thanks
I just like to be prepared
I bought a season pass and haven't had time to hit the park yet
And I have these bring a friend I have to use up.
I may hit it twice this week
thanks again

SFNE season parking pass is $50.
-
wow
CHuck did you read your message ?
-
Why don't they just do it like SFMM??
They have the regular Play Pass (Season Pass) and the XTREME Play Pass which includes parking.
-
Omg 40 dollars is still ridiculous. Parking IMO should be free or be charged 2 dollars. Then they should just raise then admission a bit and they will still come out with allot of money.

IMO, 40 bucks still isn't bad to park for the entire year. Its fair.
Gregg, that is a really valid point. I'm not sure why they haven't tried that here yet.
-
The only complaint I have is that now my parking pass sticker is on the front of a magnet. Can I just bring the magnet with the pass on it to GR and get it replaced?

Its worth a try. I seriously don't think they will give anybody a problem when it comes to these parking stickers.
-
It seems like it was just an unexpected change to the whole park when they issued the stickers and hopefully they will do anything to get them replaced.
-
And I agree that $40 is still good considering that's less than 3 visits.
Paying for parking at events is a fact of life.
-
I can remember when I was really young that they did the parking stickers and when they finally came out with the hangtags everyone was happy....wonder why they went back to stickers...anyone have any ideas?
-
Actually, in between the sticker and hangtags, they used to put a "P" on your season pass.
They probably went back to the Stickers as a way to make more money and to reduce abuse of people sharing hangtags (I'll admit it, I've done it). A sticker can only be placed on one vehicle and if you didn't drive that one, you would have to pay for parking.
Unfortunatly, this idea backfired on the park, and MANY complaints were filed. The park offered up the following solution: Stick the Sticker to the back of your Season Pass. That way it goes where you go.
Me? I just hold up the sticker as I go through the booths. It has worked fine the last 3 trips to the park this season.
-
Thats what I did just held up the sticker in my hand .
they waved me right in
-
Heh, Stew you gave them hell with that sticker thing! Honestly, it dont bother me or my mom as we slapped it on our car and were fine with it, i can see though how its very annoying!
