Whatever you do, I repeat whatever you do. Do not go on a Saturday night, when there is a concert and fireworks going on. I only got on two rides the whole night, Musik Express and Riptide. I basically walked around and took some pictures of Toro from the bridge, I was only there for about an hour and a half.
Anyone onto the pictures....

That is the line at around 6pm...
Here are some pictures of El Toro from the bridge area...

Well that was about it. A Christian Gospel concert was going on at the park and there was alot of little shops near Runaway Train. All I saw that was closed was Tango, Freefall, Chiller and Eruption.
-
Well, at least things were open. Were both sides of skyride open? Any progress on Chiller? Jokers Jinx is now testing with the new parts so hopefully Chiller is soon as well.
Thanks for the update ;)
-
One side of Skyride running. Chiller Blue's train is still sitting in the same spot and I didn't notice anything new.
Thats good Joker's Jinx is going again, hopefully I will be on Chiller Blue soon!

I was at the park yesterday too. Guess I didn't see you Chuck.
But I did meet Clint Novac from In the Loop as the Coaster Crew was at the park yesterday.
But onto an El Toro story.
Me and my friend Chris were on the last train of the night in the back row. As we head up the lift we were at about 150-160 feet and all of a sudden the train comes to a complete stop. Now I have never seen it stop with people on it but during testing it stopped all the time so I put no thought into it. Then all of a sudden we drop back down the lift only to be caught by the anti-rollbacks. It was so scary. Everyone was screaming and chanting and others I don't think realized what happened. It was so scary to think that we could've rolled back down the lift hill (although I know it isn't possible). But anyways the El Toro back row night ride is insane.

Hmmm, the lake picture with the reflection of El Toro makes me want to ask...any sign of those huge green snakes that have been living in and around the lake most of the summer? I thought at first they were artificial, until they started slithering along....
-
Nice head in the 2nd picture...
That's an awesome head... I wonder who's it is... can you get their # for me?
-
What is the deal with Tango not running? I don't understand how a simple Zamperla ride can be closed so often, one that seems to run just fine at EVERY OTHER park it is installed in.
And if it is staffing, I think it is a pretty dumb move to have a new ride in a newly themed section of the park understaffed.
-
Tango was whacked by the same storm that whacked Toro, Ka, Medusa, GASM and Supes :(
-
I wanna know whats up with Freefall?
-
Last I heard, can't get parts. I'd almost bet money it is gone after this season :(
-
Except that was weeks ago and this is a ride that simply should not be down. It has become a common ride and parts are readily available.
As for Freefall, I see that going bye bye too. An impulse would fit nicely into that spot, though that is not going to happen.
-
Remember that Cedar Fair took the freefall type ride out at Geauga Lake and had the one at Cedar Point for sale...apparently there were no takers.
-
I feel bad for GADV. Freefall, Spinmiester, the Swings sound horrible I hope if they get rid of them something replaces them.
-
They are being bitten by years of neglect. Sounds just like Disneyland before the total rehab its going through now.
-
Ironically, I just heard from Bubba that Free Fall is open as I type this.....
-
Freefall was testing all morning until we left at 2:00... not sure if it ever opened...
-
Yeah my bad, I really thought I saw people on it when I made the turn into movietown. The good news If any, it was cycling nonstop till we left. Hopefully no one rushed out to ride 8)

I know the state wasn't pleased with whatever the issue was so by the sounds of it, this was most likely a state inspection (meeting acceptable number of continous cycles) or it was Gadv preparing for the state inspection. Good news regardless :)
-
I am at the park now and its closed.
-
Tango was whacked by the same storm that whacked Toro, Ka, Medusa, GASM and Supes :(
But Tango was still closed even before those storms. The same problem or was it just a lack of staffing that closed the ride in late June?
-
That would be my best guess.... Although I know a storm damaged a few rides before this one to. Maybe it got hit twice? Unlikely IMO but possible.
I agree though, it was down some before this storm hit. That could have just been a LOS issue at those times like you said? Who knows lol...
-
We have some storms running through now.
From the Berlin area looking towards Burlington county looks like a cool Light show.
