Taking pictures of the coasters banned at the park??? I read on the "other" site that the park doesn't allow pictures to be taken of the coasters anymore. Can some one let me know if this is true??
-
ON the coasters ;)
As in, don't ride while holding a camera. To many incidents in recent years with inocent people being hit by objects flying off of coasters @ 80Mph.
You are welcome to take all the pictures you want from inside the park. Just make sure you are on the ground lol.
The only exception is the carousel, Big Wheel and the Sky Ride.
-
Okay thanks for clearing that up Wade...I knew that you couldn't take pictures while you were on the coaster but i heard it thru the grape vine that you couldnt take pictures of them...But you totally hit the nail on the head. On the other site someone said that they were stopped by a security guard while taking a picture of B:TR. Maybe the security gaurd was new and she didn't know the park policies too well or she was just being a b****. But thanks again Wade!!!!

You are allowed to mention Source here by name you know. I hate that "other" reference with a passion. I'll spare you my rant since i'm posting via cell phone.
-
I'm sorry if you don't like it, but thats how I prefer to refer to the site. Dont we have a freedom of speech on this site?...I am sure theres alot of things other people post on the site that a person doesnt like but you have to remember that this is a country where freedom of speech is not a crime. I feel that as long as I am not using profane language or harassing someone I should be able to speak my mind. ;)
-
i'm not saying you're going to get banned for referring to Source as "other", but I have a strong dislike for that type of reference to other sites because of my experiences with it in the past. IMO it's really rude.
-
LOL yes, we are all about freedom of speech and actually, I think its one of the things that sets this site apart. However, source isn't a bad word on here and really should be used. Just the same, I'd prefer Updates not be labled "other site" by members of the other site...crap, Source, you know what I mean ;)
btw- That particular circumstance I think invovled a security guard completely screwing up the new policy when it came out. That has since been cleared up.

K.....thanks guys...no hard feelings ;D.......... :P

Wow, ever notice a typo like 4 days too late? The T9 on my phone typed 'scot' instead of 'rant' and I didn't notice.
Anyway, no hard feelings on my end either. Except for the 'other' reference. Thanks to other sites I've encountered in my travels I will always loathe that. I just wanted it to be clear to all that we in no way endorse that, especially me.\
And to be on topic, I wish that someone would tell me that. I might have a flashback and start using their radio...better than they can.

You cant take Pictures of the Big Wheel, Carosouel or Skyway Wade????
-
He's saying that you have to be on the ground (read: not on a ride) when taking your pictures except for those three, since picture taking is permitted on those attractions.
-
The only exception is the carousel, Big Wheel and the Sky Ride.
What about the parachutes? Weren't they still an A-Ok spot to shoot on ride?
-
Nope. Ever since the policy hit, the parachutes were never on the list.
CAMERAS
For the safety of our guests, cameras are only allowed on the following rides : Carousel, Sky Ride and Big Wheel.
-
^No pictures on the chutes. There's nothing to help catch a camera if it were to drop. At least on the Wheel and sky ride there's a chance it just falls on the floor. Unless of course you hang it over the side. It also helps that the those rides are slower than the chutes.
