Title: No more High Speed Thrill Coaster at Knoebels

I decided to e-mail them to ask if the rumors were true and this is the response that I got:

Greetings from Knoebels

Unfortunately the rumors are true.  Although the high speed thrill coaster has served the park well since 1955.  We are sad to say that we can no longer feel confident that it can continue to thrill the public in a safe manner.  On a positive note there are currently plans on the table to replace it with a similar, but not identical coaster.

Thank you for interest and feedback in the park.

Now I'm really bummed I skipped it last year as I've never been on it :(

That was the only coaster my GF and I skipped when we went.  :'(

Went on it this year
it was a blast
Looks for a new coaster in its place

RUMOR is
they bought the Moreys Wildwood Golden Nugget  track and cars

I got my credit w00t!

Looks like it is going to be one of those I want that credit coaster. I also have Drachin Fire from the BGW days :D

I think I can say that is a bit more than a rumor...who the buyer is and what they will do with them is another story, which remains to be seen.
