How can you be skeptical about Robin not opening with the park? Also what's so funny about them having the budget to hire more people?

It's very easy to be skeptical about Robin opening around a month from now. Being the track is not in place. No news on the new train (I'm pretty sure they got/getting a new train, don't take my word on this), and the testing the park has to do, and the testing the state will have to do. The budget thing, was more along the lines of an inside joke with a few of my friends to be quite honest. But, last eyar, they ahd the major budget problem, and by the way SF was doing, I will admit I'm a bit suprised. And yes, I was reffering to Houdini.

Thanks for the great report!  Everything sounds good and it could be an excellent season if they keep up on all of these things.

I guess I'm out of the loop, but what happened to Robin's train?

Robin's train expiernced quite a bit of pain
After the June incident
It suffered quite a bit of strain!

It's basically no good to use anymore
But the good of all of this
It's now no chore
To replace broken parts on either train, so now both can soar
Without stealing parts from one another anymore

Danian, a few things:

According to Chillerd22 on GAInsider, the Batman train is now the Robin train.  The new train being sent to Great Adventure will be the new Batman train.

You can't use last year's budget issues against the chain.  Six Flags detractors love to try and use them against them, overloooking (or simply ignoring) the fact that they had virtually no control over last year's budget.  When fighting the proxy battle, Red Zone was not allowed access to the books.  By the time they won, most of the budget was spent.  Remmeber how I've been saying since last season that this season is their season?  That's the main reason why.  I didn't expect last season to even come out as well as it did truthfully.  I thought that because of the switch-em-up of power and budget control that things would be an absolute mess.  IMO, they pulled off more positives than negatives last season, despite the bind they were in.  With the increased budget for staffing, the focus on ride uptime, among other things, we're starting to see just why I was saying that.  This is a whole new year, and a whole new Six Flags.  Come to it open minded.

Houdini isn't a dark ride, it's a Vekoma Mad House.  Reese's Cup Challenge at Hershey Park is a dark ride.  The Haunted House at Astroland is a Dark Ride. Houdini is an optical illusion that happens to take place in the dark.


When it comes to Robin, I'm personally very surprised with that timetable  They have the time to get it done, and I'm guessing that work will be starting like this week on making that happen.  I hope they do get that done on time.

Kingda Ka will open with 4 trains.

As much as I'd love to see this happen, I'm still skeptical.

This is probably the least surprising of all the news but the most gratifying. They had 3 trains last year for most of the time but with staffing issues, running 3 trains was pointless for them.

They had the train on site the whole time, just no budget(?) to fix it I guess.

Don't know if Wade or Di mentioned this, but there will be 2 Ben & Jerry's in the park and a Coldstone Creamery.

Also, you will be able to play Nintendo Wii's right near the Relaxation Station.

Last season Kingda Ka had three trains upon opening day
But in a short week or two
It was the orange train giving them trouble, or so they say
They took the orange train for a bit
Yes they took that broken train away

They fixed it up and then it ran real fine
Until then the switchtrack starting having problems
And orange ran no more until later in time
That time would be when the green train went down towards the end
They took it off and there it stayed
Its front hood missinng, it sat there on the storage track, not to see another day

Orange came back and ran with Teal
Until the very last day, green did not heal.

Blue had been partially reassembled by June
They stopped working on it when the switchtrack gave out,
The mechanics at this time were ever so strewn!
For theres no purpose to spend time on reassembling a train
When its not even possible to run it,
Not even when there was no rain or a very blue moon!

Blue is almost back from Intamin in Japan
Four trains on opening day is looking better now than it ever can
Lets just hope everything stays in its ever so crucial time span!

Just seeing the UPDATE for the first time this morning and it's a GOOD ONE !!!  I enjoyed the captions for each picture.  Looks like there's still quite a bit of work to be done, but all seems to be moving along nicely
