And what is the first thing most guests want to know?

Hours.

How do you find it?

I looked for 20 seconds and couldn't find it...and that's longer than the average guest will.

I am sure they will fix this.  Or maybe it is a Firefox problem...goes to check Opera...

Same problem.

Guests want a CALENDAR.  And it had better be easy to find...

Looks like you beat me to it...Please close the other topic I started.

It looks like the new Six Flags website has gone live!!
Overall it seems much better.

The "Fun Planner" idea is pretty neat for people visiting the park for the first time.

I think I liked the old color season calendar better.
Looney Tunes Seaport/Koala Canyon are still on their park map.
I suppose since they haven't opened they still technically exist.

"JOIN TEAM SIX" does not work...fill out your info and nothing.  I don't think it ever worked on the old website so it doesn't surprise me one bit.

Angle ask for us to critique it when it was released so.
El Toro Train pictures are of a different coaster with a open front.
Kingda Ka and El Toro picture is of the animation/drawings ? - Video is also of the animation
What happened to the History Channel Footage of KK ?
Batman Track is Yellow then Gray in another photo (old colors ?)
Scream Machine page not done.
General Admission $59.99 is this the same as last year ?
Disabled Guests $29.99 not bad  :)

Looks like a lot of stock photos from other parks

I do like the old Calendar better since you can just look at it and see that all the blue days at say 10:30-9pm instead of hovering your mouse over that date. The colored coded calender is better in that you can look at it in one glance.

The site is much better with much more info
The site is not complete and I'm sure it is still being worked on but looks good.

Finding Park hours was easy,  first thing I did was click on the park info tab and It took 5 seconds.

However,  I do agree that I liked  the old calendar  better . It was more in your face as you opened the home page and much easier to see ..

No problem finding the hours, though I think it should be right on the front page, and the calender should be color coded so you can see them in a glance.
The world is coming to an end, I've actually created a blog!

Totally Agree with the color coded calender.

On SFNE new site The Video for Superman is from the SFA Maryland park Superman.

Details Details Details webmaster/designer don't be lazy.
If you want the details on a coaster the average person would go to the site that has the coaster (Six Flags).
I guess it's just easier for the webmaster/designer to post what they have at that time.

But the parks should know what is being posted on it's own site especially when its SROS at SFNE since that coaster is rated #1 in a lot of places and the Parks crown jewel the reason people visit the park from far away.

But like I said may be still be "under construction"

It is still under construction :)

Each park has the ability to request changes and supply various graphics, photos, etc.  I think they just wanted it live before the full season kicked in because of the new capabilities.  Details aren't as important as the new functionality and info provided.

This site kicks the freaking crap out of the old one in sooooo many ways.  And the info provided on the rides is easy to understand, very clear and it lists the height requirements!

Yes I agree better to get the site up if it's 99% ready then wait.
it is 100% better.
The photos are nice and sharp very brilliant.
I like how they have employment opportunity links on every page.
I also like the way they have links to other similar ride height requirements on the rides page.

So will My Six Flags Photos work with On Ride photos?
You give your card to the On Ride Photo booth and they add to your MySixFlagsPhotos account.
Or does it only work for all the employees that walk around and take your picture.
I never purchase them after a ride because I don't want to carry them around.
On Ride photo's would be great...but I suspect they are different vendors.

That feature will be coming as they upgrade all of the on-ride photo systems :).

Disney actually just started doing this as well recently.  I think Test Track is one of the only rides available with Photo Pass right now where you can just insert the card into a slot under the monitor and it adds it for you.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to seperate this from my above post - I just got word that Great Adventure has already submitted TONS of changes and updates to the new site so for now, we just need to be patient a little longer :)

Thats what I was thinking.  :)
Great Adventure and other parks had to review it while it was live
then submit changes.
Websites take time to go over all the details page by page etc.
I'm actually building a site the last few days and going over the source file/code so I have nothing in it I don't want or I missed.

Well it isn't all bad . it does need to be updated but so does the one for SFNE .I looked at their site to see some Thomas info and none of the rides or anything comes up. i guess it just takes time to get use to something that is new.
