Astroland & Deno's Wonder Wheel 3-22
« on: March 30, 2008, 01:40:52 PM »
Hello everyone. Matt and I went to Coney Island last week to ride our first wooden coaster of the year.  Matt met up with me at my parent's house. I would have to be back to babysitting later in the evening. We left around 10:00 and made a stop at Wawa along the way.

We met up with Dainan, his friend Kenny (kenskie87,) his brother Anthony, and his friends Jeff (supermanros16) and Tom (thomaskelly427.)

Robb would be in this picture but he stays up late. He prefers keeping that metrosexual Dane Cook's company.

It wasn't long before we got on the Cyclone. Matt waited for the back row and I took the second from the back. I'll be darned if it wasn't a tight squeeze. They had to push to get us in. And we're off. AHHHHHHHHH! OH MY! WOW! WOW! WOW! AHHHHHHHOH MY...... OH MY! AHH! OHH! OHH! SHHHHHHUGAR! OH! OH! OH! AHH! OUCH! UGH! OH! OH! AHHHHH! Oh that was fun.

This time I took the back seat and Matt took the second from back. Wow did that hurt more, but it was fun.

Matt and I bumped in to Jim (JimVid,) Dave (Flare) and Mark Rozenweig and I rode one more time in the front seat.

$14 to ride the Cyclone.

Dainan, where'd your game go?

Apparently Dainan one time worked for Astroland.

I made a beeline for Top SPIN.

Nobody else wanted to ride with Dainan and I. The others watched the previous cycle and decided not to ride. I lost count how many times we rocked and flipped. It was wild. I kissed the ground when I got off.

$5.00 to ride Top Spin.

Dante's Inferno a Kelly dark ride similar to Dante's Dungeon in Wildwood. It could have been very good but there weren't too many effects on, so it was a waste of money.

$5.00 to ride Dante's Inferno.

Prepare to weather the storm!

This is Spookarama

It's a giant room filled with some of the scariest props in a dark ride ever.

Off to Nathans. I think two people had hot dogs. Dainan had this.

Not nautious yet?

The Ghost Hole was closed. It was my favorite of the three darkrides on Coney Island.

Well, we tried to ride the drop tower but it never left the ground, so we rode the Thunderbolt.

Well, thank you for reading.

This was the best day I had at Coney Island in years. So I'm happy you convinced me to go.

And after you left, Kenny and I took a ride on Top Spin 2 and we got stuck on it for 10 minutes.

We were the only people on it :p

I'm pretty sure Hogan was on there last year when I visited.

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!
