Six Flags/ Great Adventure Christmas present
« on: December 31, 2008, 01:13:14 PM »
I sat on this a few days but I think your responses would be interesting.

If you woke up Christmas morning (or on Christmas Eve, if you're like us) and you found a present under the tree from the park (or Six Flags,) what would you wish it to be? What would get you really excited?

Keep in mind, the box might only contain a work or purchase order.  ::)

And it could be any night of Hanukkah.  ;)

I think a dark ride would be great, but my favorite present would be an overhaul of Rolling Thunder. I would be as happy as a kid in a candy store to get fin brakes or to have ACE Coaster Classic trains again. (That would be soft vinyl seats, the buzz bars and removing the seat dividers and headrests.) But if that's unlikely, I'd hope for Kennywood-style preservation of the ride. I'd love to see black rails and smoooth, screech and grind free rides.

I wouldn't expect them to really give much. Just sending a card would be more than enough and very unexpected. But if they were to send something more, I would happy with a bring a friend free coupon, or any discounted admission..

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

The Sarajevo Bobsled back with no long lines! I really liked that ride, it reminds me of my senior year in HS.  (I know I just dated myself, but my birthday is posted anyway ;D)

I'll take what AV is having

Flyers everyday as a kid at Clementon park (early 70's) just a few blocks from my home.

Ok, I figured out my present.  Please build the hotel so I can sit pool side and watch Kingda Ka launch all day.  I still have the blueprints if you need them.  ;)

^no joke, that would be really relaxing to watch, especially on a hot summer day when you don't want to be waiting in lines in the blazing sun
