Xploratorium is Now Open!
« on: July 03, 2009, 09:13:13 AM »
The Xploratorium, which is located over by The Dark Knight inside of Chiller's old tower (the one with the hands on it), is now open! It looks like it has virtual things in there to do, everything from motion capture to playing with a Microsoft Surface table!

You can see some photos here on the park's official Facebook page.

I believe it's an upcharge attraction, but I'm not sure how much. Anyone who knows let us know! And anyone who has been there, let us know how it is!

I don't think it is an Up-Charge Attraction, but if you want to take anything (Digital Caricatures) home with you from it, you pay for it.

I stopped in there today to see what it was all about.

It's nifty but don't go in there expecting to be blown away. There is no charge to go in but there are items for sale in there.

Some of the technology was cool but it seemed like they were still learning how everything works themselves. That is understandable as it was the first day it was open.

The Microsoft Surface table was the coolest thing in there. I do have to give the employees credit as they were all very enthusiastic and eager to help. Overall it was a fun way to spend some time but I will most likely only stop in once or twice a year.

Perhaps it will be more like on of those "lets go into the Xploratorium to cool down in the hot weather!" things. But, that can only be good. I do like to take time out from all the coasters I enjoy in a day and this seems to be the perfect opportunity. I hope its fun!
