I wasn't going to join the OTSR bashing wagon but holy crap, that looks like it hurt. How did he not mention a thing about that??? I guess he wanted to be able to get video and ride all day without pissing off PR because those turns looked like they hurt!

Put the Millennium Force trains on there and this ride would be freaking awesome.

Just take the unnecessary OTSR's off and it would be better than Millennium Force could ever be... unless that first turn is as black-out inducing as it sounds.

Could this coaster have a similar fate like chiller? Where the otsr become too painful for passengers so lap bars are forced to be installed? Still loving Millennium Force's overbanked turns which could help this coaster out

What's so great about overbanked turns? I've never understood the appeal. They are a big reason why I find Millennium Force so boring.

I doubt they'll ever change the restraints unless they dramatically fail on more than 1 of their coasters...

I agree with the overbanked turn philosophy. Not a big fan. I don't mind them if they are there just to lead into more airtime hills, like the hammerhead on Nitro, but on MF, I'm not impressed. I understand why so many people love MF, it's just not my "cup of tea". From what I'm hearing, I-305 is much better, and for me, it won't take much. Two of my best good friends were at KD this morning, one of whom is a HUGE MF whore, and they said it's amazing and light years better than MF

A while ago I posed the question does this coaster have what it takes to become the #1 steel coaster. I'm thinking the answer may be yes. Bizzaro's stock is dropping.

I still don't think it does. I'm sure it'll be fun, but #1 status on a coaster with OTSR's that has no inversions seems highly unlikely. To each their own though.

I doubt it will take the #1 spot. What is so much better about this than Bizarro? Bizarro has a much better layout, more airtime hills, no OTSR, very good length, a tunnel, no trims on any major airtime hill, and not to mention a nice overbank

. Yes I305 may have a way better first drop, but as a whole, doesnt seem to be a #1 coaster.
Nevertheless I am more anxious to ride now with the positive reviews, but watching the pov reminds me how short the ride is. For hitting 300 feet, so much more could have been done.
As for overbank turns, idk why, but I just love them. They aren't the most exciting elements but they are a work of art in my eyes. I love watching MF speed through its 3 instances of marvel engineering. Now stop bashing MF!!

I just got two text messages from a friend at the park...

Text #1 - before boarding "There are NO LIGHTS at ALL on the entire layout. I'm genuinely terrified right now lol"

Text #2 - after ride "There IS NO F****** DOUBT that is the best steel coaster I've ever been on. I almost want to say its better than Voyage. That was a religious experience."

It's gonna be like MF in the sense that everyone you talk to hates it but some how it still manages to be 1 or 2 in golden ticket awards.

If nothing else it's something to talk about. Steel coasters are so stale lately it seems.

I am eagerly anticipating my first ride. Hope I like it.

And for the record, I know several well-traveled enthusiasts who absolutely love Millennium Force despite it not having any real airtime. Some people really dig speed.
