Going off topic keeps the place interesting. I don't see it as a bad thing here, where it doesn't happen too much. It can get way out of control on other boards with more people (CoasterBuzz), but so far, we don't seem to have trouble with it, so I say have fun and don't worry about it.

All the clues are leading to a Chetah theme at this time. The ride looks like it could be really cool as long as it does more than just speed along the ground and over drawn-out elements like Millennium Force. Hopefully it will be full of acceleration changes (air time and laterals).

We are one small site and even though there are more than 500 members, only 20-30 post regularly. I've been on a site with almost 25,000 users that had only one admin, that place was like a living hell because nobody felt the need to follow guidelines.

And at least one nice overbank turn =)

And it sounds like BG Williamsburg is getting a similar ride in 2012 to fill the Big Bad Wolf's lair.

Announcement expected tomorrow for the future plans of both Busch Gardens parks. Buschgardens2011.com shows the five teaser clips and the last one (enter "speed" to unlock) says they will make an announcement at 9:00 am. The video says it will only be for cheetaka  but I doubt it since both parks were making announcements for the same date and time.

Cheetah Hunt eh. I'm not really digging the name but the coaster seems pretty neat!

Click on the first video. It's 6 minutes of them explaining the ride, and then the new Cheetah exhibit they are building.

Also, my first thought on the Cheetah exhibit was "are they sending Temple of the Tiger there"? ha

Yeah, I liked the rumored Cheetaka name better, but the ride looks fun.

It's supposed to be like Maverick, a "Blitz coaster" by INTAMIN. Instead of having a lift hill like on maverick, you get launched all the way around the layout. Cheetah Hunt is going to look similar to maverick other than the tight layout, color, and the themeing.

I am hoping that in the video it wasn't completely right with the physics and looks a little bit more exciting than some parts showed.

I know what you mean. I hope that the figure eight in the sky isn't as slow as the video looks.

I wouldn't count on it. The figure 8 is extremely tight compared to the rest of the curves on the ride. It might pull some serious G's as is.

True, and that 130 ft drop after it looks like you could get some floater air on it.

Considering it will have OTSR's, I'm surprised they didn't opt for a beyond 90 degree drop there, and more than one inversion.

It looks like a decent coaster with amazing theming/surroundings. Maybe I'll take a trip to Florida next year. I miss Space Mountain and Gwazi.

It won't be competitive with maverick, but it will still be a good ride overall. Both Busch Gardens have not failed with new coasters since drachen fire in the 90's.

Well some of us think the dive coasters are lamer than Millennium Force. ;)

This looks better than Maverick to me.

We contradict each other, I like Griffon more than Millie and maverick looks better than cheetah hunt. a little off topic, how do you compare bobsleds and mine trains?

...in your opinion.

At least one poster here thinks El Toro is vastly superior to Voyage, and by miles...

I know it isn't me, I haven't been in the state Indiana let alone Holiday World.
