Six Flags to drop I.P. Theming on major rides and areas nationally

Screamscape.com says that Six Flags is planning on dropping their I.P. themeing on major rides and themed areas nationwide. They will be dropping the deals they had with Thomas the Tank engine in Six Flags Great America, The Wiggles in all the theme parks with The Wiggles World including Great Adventure, and Tony Hawk on all of the related themed spinning coasters. There are also rumors from local sources in Six Flags St. Louis that Evel Knievel will be renamed and rethemed for next season. I guess they'll still be overusing DC comics and Looney Toons for the 50th anniversary.

Fine by me. Wish they would abandon all the comic book crap too. I love theming, but hate the kind that reminds me of the real world, unless they want to consolidate it all into one section, then that's cool. The way it's randomly dropped into completely unrelated themed areas... Ugh.
