Opening of the Toro
« on: April 04, 2006, 03:28:40 PM »
I write to them from Spain, first of everything, request pardon to them by my spelling, since I use a translator online

I would like to know his opinion on the date of opening of the Toro. Next the 24 of May we will travel until EE: UU to do tour Coastero, between the Parks to visit we have SFGAd days 25 and 26 of May ? thinks that the opening of the Toro is possible now?

Thanks and pardon the annoyances

Greetings

Welcome to GadvUpdates :)  Your english is no problem at all ;)

El Toro is currently expected to open on Memorial Weekend which would be May 26th - May 28th.

This is still speculation though because the ride is not finished as of right now.

We should know for sure once the media day is scheduled.

They are trying for a opening on Memorial Day weekend so it's really cutting it close. I hope the best of luck for you.

May I ask what parks your going to?

Is that the order of the trip?

If so, can you change the order to go to Great Adventure last? That way you would have a better chance of going on El Toro.

I'd also at least attempt to put in a 1/2 day at Knoebels. You don't need a full day at Dorney.

Sounds like a fun trip!!! Welcome to the boards.

Yeah, heck, I would skip Geauga Lake completely and put in a full day at Knoebels, you would be totally missing out on one of the best parks out there by not going there.

HELLO sir clinksalot

Or we saw the possibility of visiting Knoebels, but or we have too many km that to cross in car and we do not want to do but. Ten in account that all tour we will do it in car and is many km

Aside, I believe that the Dorney Park has sufficient Coasters like taking advantage of all the day. Recently an association of in Spain (PKTK) was there and says here that it is a good park.

In any case thanks for the advice..

Aside from which we cannot change planing, it either does not seem good idea to change Geauga to me by Knoebels. First: so that GL comes from way between Kennywood and Cedar to us Point, second: so that we have happens of season of Dorney, that also allows us to enter GL

I was in GL in 2004 and I like the park, surely is not the best one, but it is a diversion park that I have been creating for very well its function. Coasters is well, to my I please much VILLAIN a quite wild, fast Wooden, and with enormous Air-times, also I liked Dominator, Steel Venom (my first lim), Thunderhawk (quite smooth to be a SLC), X-Flight (my first flying) etc.

I do not see either necessary to be everything a day in GL, for that reason single we will be noon. Day 1 of June we will visit the park, but on 3 or 4 afternoon we will go away to CP (days 2 and 3 of June also we will be in CP)

It is not necessary already we know the park, but in any case, if stays in the Park those days, podreis to identify to us rather well very easily, since we will wear t-shirts with the name of? Extream Coaster Tour.

Thanks for its interest...

Dorney park will not take long to do. That park you can easily do in 2 hours because there is hardly any lines there.

We did it in 1 1/2 hours in September ... on a Saturday.

And honestly ... we didn't rush at all.

I agree, I've been in and out of Dorney in under two hours and had my fill of the rides there.  It is a shame you already have the trip set, Knoebels is a little out of the way, but well worth the extra time to get to, and I think you are really missing out on one of the best parks America has to offer.

Do you really need ERT on Dorney's coasters???

The only coaster we rode more than once, and felt that we wanted to ride more than once was Steel Force.

Other than that with the exception's of Talon and the woodie (up until the part with the breaks) everything is kind of ho' hum.

I would rather ride Talon more than Steel Force IMO.

I also really think you need ERT at Dorney but maybe it is just like Solace. It is a cool time to hang out with people you normally don't see.

The ERT would save you 12 bucks from regular admission in June. I am thinking about going because I don't see myself getting a Cedar Fair pass this season or going to Dorney more than once. Let alone going to Cedar Point. I'll take the money I saved and use it for a Clementon Lake Park pass.

OK,  maybe we should start a new Dorney thread as Spawn is keeping this park in his Itinerary

Yes
Last year I went I mostly Did Steel force and Thunderhawk ( that brake sucks) during the early am ERT . THat new ride near Steel Force is cool where the floor drops out and they give you a half off the Screaming swing.

I liked it becuase it's cheap and all you can eat food (mmmm food) even Ice cream
this is also a good reason to go during the season.
Yes
I didn't stay for the late night ERT  I left around 5-6pm  that day
Hydra is OK  not anything special. I still mis Hercules
I actually like Medusa better

I was doing some work behind Clementon lake today and that 180 turn into the helix is awesome. I would have got a season pass but they wanted over $100  and I missed the sale near Christmas. I will just have to do the evening $9.95 coupon

Now I just got to get up to and ride Balder Dash  never been there but looks good
