Six Flags Launches Sponsorship Agreement With A&E Network

A&E Sponsors Thrill Rides at Several Six Flags Theme Parks to Highlight New
       'Driving Force' Series on NHRA Champion John Force and Family

    NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Six Flags (NYSE: SIX)
announced today an agreement with A&E Network under which A&E is sponsoring
rides at Six Flags theme parks and Six Flags is promoting the launch of the
new A&E real-life series "Driving Force," which centers on 13-time NHRA
Drag Racing Champion John Force and his three drag-racing daughters.

    To illustrate the intense speeds that Force and his racing team attain
in their dragsters, A&E's Driving Force is sponsoring a number of Six Flags
thrill rides, including:
     * Nitro, at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ;
     * Vertical Velocity, at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL;
     * Goliath, at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA;
     * Shock Wave, at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, TX;
     * Medusa, at Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, CA;
     * Mind Bender at Six Flags over Georgia in Atlanta, GA

    The Force family will also be making in-park appearances as well as
bringing their dragsters to select Six Flags parks during the summer. In
addition, Six Flags is promoting "Driving Force" via trailers and
promotions on Six Flags TV, its in-park television system, as well as
highlighting the show on its recently redesigned website, SixFlags.com.

John Force has shattered every major record in drag racing history. His
120 national event wins and ten consecutive NHRA Funny Car championships
are achievements unprecedented in all of sports. In addition, "Driving
Force" will also focus on three of John's daughters -- 23-year old Ashley;
20-year old Brittany; and 18-year old Courtney -- who are now following in
their father's tracks, competing in the male-dominated field of high-speed
drag racing. Ashley is already an accomplished driver, having been named
Rookie of the Year in her car class. She's also one of the only
professional athletes to have both her own Barbie Doll and Hot Wheels die
cast car.

    "This is a textbook example of bringing great partners into our parks
and developing unique ways to add even more fun and value," said Lou
Koskovolis, Six Flags Executive Vice President of Corporate Alliances.
"Through this new alliance with A&E, our Six Flags guests will get a sneak
peek into the lives of racing legend John Force and his family, and
experience some of the excitement and passion that he brings to his sport."

    "The Six Flags audience is also a natural audience for 'Driving Force,'
and the rides we're sponsoring this season are emblematic of the thrills
that the Force Family experience with every race," said Stacy Krusch, A&E
Director of Strategic Alliances and Consumer Marketing.
Looks to be a great show. I would love to get out to the park the day John Force comes.
