Cool.  I'll remind ya closer to the date.  If anything, I'll just come through and ride it a few times lol

btw- What are you going to do when the upcoming rehab starts?  It seems as though it will be down almost all of 2008.

Try going for 12 times in a row on a 95 degree day :)  Gary started creeping me out by that point LOL

Yes, MS does totally rock.  Although Soarn' front, middle comes darn close.  Make sure you say hi to Philharmagic for me.  Its the most under-rated attraction in MK IMO.

Every one of my friends down here raves about Philharmagic. I gotta get on that.

Turkey legs are crack-on-a-bone. I was too happy snacking on a leg walking through the MK yesterday.

from scream some rumors

is this SFGadv new coaster but indoors ?  www.rcdb.com/ig972.htm

New Attractions - Rumor - (9/14/07) With all the focus lately on the new indoor coaster, it seems we?ve been ignoring the rest of attractions. If the latest rumors are on track, it looks like it will be a ?dry? year at Hurricane Harbor once again with no new slides planned. However, it seems that something will be added to the Safari once again? something that could involve a unique after dark experience. More as we find out.

(9/12/07) The latest buzz over the rumored Dark Knight indoor coaster rumor are quite interesting to say the least. We?ve been hearing on and off how it may be a spinning coaster and others saying it wont be, and we think we have the solution to the question now. Before Mack?s spinning coaster opened at Knott?s this past summer Mack?s first version of that same ride system was the EuroMIR which features the same cars, but all of the spinning movement is controlled by the ride to allow the riders to face whatever direction they want at that moment and then lock back into place for the coaster segments.
This more controlled aspect may be the key to the dark ride aspect of this rumored project allowing Six Flags to spin the cars to one side or the other to view the scenery in each room. Now remember, if they use the same cars, they feature both forward and backwards facing seats, which means there may be entirely different sets and scenes on each side of the ride. Considering the duality here and that we?re talking about this being a Batman villain themed concept, I?ve got to wonder if Two-Face will be involved in the storyline.

Took you long enough!!

Now you have to have repeat visits to find the sweet spot.  You actually feel like you are flying on the magic carpet if you get the right seat.

I will definitely give it a few more visits.  I wish I could be an Imagineer for a day to see how they pull off all this stuff.  Haunted Mansion amazes me in all its technical splendor.  I also finally got to see the animated character heads that they use for the show outside of the castle and wow!  I was so wide-eyed I looked like a baby taking their first look at the world.  I felt so silly afterwards.

But I can now officially say that my main personal objective for this internship has been fulfilled. Everything else is just icing on the cake.  I've felt the magic, had my disbelief suspended, and have taken notice of what gives me that feeling. :D

Six Flags Over Texas implodes Intamin freefall ride  (OCT 2, 2007) Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas made theme park history today with the implosion of its Intamin freefall ride. The ride removal was necessary to make way for a new 2008 family coaster. The
implosion is believed have been a first in theme park history. In 1979 the Greyhound wooden coaster at the Lakewood Fair grounds in Atlanta, Ga. was imploded as part of a scene for the movie Smokey and the Bandit II starring Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason and Jerry Reed.

With one long bang, the 128-foot tall Wildcatter (formally known as the Texas Cliffhanger) came crashing down to the ground in a matter of a few second. The tower's structure fell directly onto the ride's horizontal track area. The implosion, performed by Dallas Demolition Company in Dallas, was perfection with fencing surrounding the ride remaining untouched.

A large group of media members had a bird's eye view of the implosion, viewing the implosion from the 300-foot level of of the park's signature icon, the Oil Derrick. High above the tower media members, five television helicopters hovering overhead captured the implosion on tape. Six Flags Over Texas maintenance personnel were taking in the sights perched out on top of the Oil Derrick's roof, and on the catwalk of the Texas Chute Out parachute drop.

The Wildcatter was designed and constructed specifically for Six Flags Over Texas. It debuted during the 1982 season as the Texas Cliffhanger as the world's first freefall ride. In 1995 it was re-themed and renamed the G-Force and in 1999, the entrance of the ride was moved and the name was changed to its current name, ?Wildcatter.? Since it's opening, it carried more than 17 million riders.

The site will make way for Tony Hawk's Big Spin, a spinning coaster from Gerstlauer.
