I spent most of my holiday season stuffing these bears on shelves at the New York City World of Disney. And today being my last day (till I get re-hired in a few months), I bought one, so that I'll always have a piece of one of the better chapters of my life. It's really sad to leave, one of my fellow CM's said it was like summer camp ending. I'm happy I got re-hire status, but I'm still upset that they laid off ever CM they hired since April.

Wonderful. I just love taking off in the snow. Hopefully I get a pilot as good as that other USair pilot!

Hey Guys,
Anyone know if you apply for a job (at Great Adventure) online
how long it takes to hear back?  My 15 yr old niece applied online today.

I know last year people that applied online could go to the employment center, say they filled out an online application, and they would look it up and an interview would follow shortly, but I am not sure what they are doing this year.

RJ can answer that better for you.

I believe your niece should receive a call within a day or two.  I personally recommend that she come to the Employment Center as soon as she can after filling out the app online since she'll need to come in for an interview anyway.  Also, she'll want to make sure she has two forms of ID to expedite the process.  It's nice when you don't make repeat trips.  Also, if she gets working papers from her school beforehand, that can speed it up.  I would highly recommend the job fair since every department is represented, and she can actually talk to people from the departments before choosing and interviewing.  It may delay the process a bit, but taking that time that I don't think many people do (that is if she doesn't have her heart already set somewhere) can lead to a fruitful season.

I wish her good luck!

Thanks RJ.  I passed on the info.  I think when I retire
I want a job at Great Adventure.  It maybe sooner than I think.
The commute to the airport is getting old after 20 years.
