Morey's may have a New Coaster that runs one pier to another pier.

Morey's Piers, July 7-8, 2007* 4th of July weekend ?
>
> Interested in 2 great days at the shore? Want ERT on 6 amazing rides on
> three seaside piers? How about discounts on extreme ride? Not enough? How

Well, then Morey's Piers has the event
> for you! Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, July 7-8, 2007 and
> head to Morey's Piers in Wildwood, NJ for two action packed days that will
> include ERT on 6 awesome rides, discounts on extreme rides, a coaster shop
> tour, an All-American beachfront barbecue lunch and a coaster planning focus
> group, all for an amazing price of $39 if pre-registered on-line by June 30,
> 2007. This event is open to all coaster enthusiasts and their guests.
> Details are still being worked out and they will be launching an official
> website for this event shortly. The folks at Morey's are very excited to be
> hosting their first park-run coaster event and it's looking like a really
> great time!
-- ---------------------------
How about a New Jersey Voyage  that would be awesome spanning 2 piers.
Moreys look at the #1 rated coaster in the world and build one here in NJ.
That would make Wildwood a #1 attration for coaster entusiast
just think El Toro and a Gravity group in NJ an hour away.
I can wish/dream can't I

Hmm Just a guess but who helped design Great White for Moreys Larry Bill
Who heads the Gravity group  maker of The Voyage  Hmm  Larry Bill

just hoping

A world class coaster would put Wildwood  on the map.
A lot of Coaster enthusiast don't know about or don't visit wildwood and this would increase attendance and attract visitors from around the world and free publicity.

but hold on I'm getting way ahead of myself
there are no plans just talk of.

At points in this...invite? it says may and other times is sounds as if it is definite.

This would just be too good to be true.

Designing the coaster is a little misleading IMO.

Basically you're just going to talk to them for an 2 hours about what you think would be good.

In the end, they have the final say in it.

I'm must say I'm a bit disappointed with the ERT.

2 1/2 hours on Dante, Atmosfear, Nor'easter, and Doo Wooper?

2 hours on Sea Serpent and nothing else?

$39 is an amazing deal and the rest sounds good so we'll probably go.  I just wish they could've done better with the ERT.  I was really hoping for some ERT on what I consider the best ride in Wildwood--the Zoom Phloom!

Got ACE news today with a Big Pullout for the Wildwood Moreys event.

quote

" We're studying the contruction of a rollercoaster that would span two piers! Will and Jack Morey invite coaster entusiasts to Help! Be part of our focus group. Tell us what you think ,AND have a great weekend with lots of exclusive eventsfor YOU "

THis stinks that its on the 4th of July weekend  as I can't make it
I hope next year they pick another weekend like mid July  that would also help in getting lodging and less crowded .

So who is planning on going to this event? I just found out that I get out of work at 5 on Saturday and can make the night ERT on Great White and have all of Sunday off. $39 is a great price that I can't pass up. Late night Fascination is also a big draw for me too.

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

me.... Shakes head in a side to side fashion.

I'd have to wait and see when I work. Even if  I could only go for a day,  39 dollars is a great price.

^ Bubba... have you played Flippers Late Night Fascination with 8 balls, strobe lights, crazy music, fog machines...??? You must play it atleast once in your life. After 11 pm, it goes on for hours. It's... fascinating.

I agree on the weekend picked, it was Morey's choosing. I booked a room for Sat in out side of Ocean City because all Wildwood hotels demand a longer stay then 1 night. Were still thinking about just driving home Sat.
When I saw the 39.00 I had to double check and make sure it included the two water park both days and it sure does. Hope to see everyone there.

What kind of coaster do you want to see built? :)

I'd like to see a good wooden coaster built, or something along the lines of an old speed racer type ride... I'm hearing they are leaning towards a steel coaster though.

Yes a Wood coaster would be awesome - if a New Steel I hope its a Big Hyper 200+ NO LOOPS
Wildwood is to loopy already

Hmm
if my Brother doens't have his annual 4th of July party
I may try to make it.
I have friends that have a seasonal campground about 9 miles away I can stay at.

BUt yes I agree that the forth of July Weekend is the worst time to have this event and I hope they change it to another date next year
like anytime NOT a Holiday

mid -end of July
Early - mid August

hotels at $200+ a night that weekend is crazy

July 21st through the 28th We will be in Wildwood about 300 feet from the boardwalk
Sleeps 8-10
Between Moreys and Mariners Piers

if anyone interested in a weekly rental let me know $900
about half the cost of anything else this close to the boards.
He also has long weekends in Sept and OCT.

I would LOVE to try and make it out to this event but I can't. If my parents we had a shore house down there then maybe...
