T'is the season when we get too busy with shopping that we don't  talk as much with our friends or spend time with one another. Then feeings of guilt dance in our heads over stuff we said or didn't say and stress builds over not finding the perfect gift. Then there are moments of the gift of shared friendships that make it all worth it.

Hershey's Christmas Candylane was one such moment. Although not all of my friends could make it, they were is spirit. Here are some of the pics in their 4 megapixel glory:

Bubba with his wife Cara and his daughter Hannah

Here they are dressed for the tropics

Then we went to Epcot

Then we said hello to gluttony

We waited a half hour before swimming but somebody stole the pool

Who let the dogs out

Walt likes the cold so he ditched the mouse

Do you think they like the cold?

We warmed up with some Peanut Butter vs Chocolate.
Here's my score

Merry Christmas from Hershey's Great American Chocolate Tour

Sweet pictures! Does Hershey open the coasters for this or just some of the rides?

It was fun coastermom and empty. Everything was a walk on. The forcasts called for rain and sleet but it didn't show up until the middle of the night. The park was closed the next day for weather. In order to get on the flyers you had to run down the 8 year-olds. Right Bubba and Matt?

The rides that are open are the scrambler,

Starship Express

balloons,

carousel

sky ride

waveswinger, tilt-a-whirl, kissing tower (observation tower)

antique cars

Fender Bender (bumper cars) and monorail,

the Claw

Pirate ship,

Frontier Flyers

Twinklelight Express

Reeses Cup Challenge

Zoo America and Music Box Theater,

a reindeer exhibit

Santa Claus and everything at Chocolate World.

I can't wait for this coaster to open...

... that way it draws the crowds away from the other awesome coaster HP offers.

Yeah, that sucks about Chiller...I hate to see it like that. Hey, so we should get a group picture or something ok. I'll call you later!

Is there even enough room for the train to pass under that brake run?

Hmmmm....

I am still wondering if this ride is going to be a hit with the public.  I mean, we all know the differences, but I can just see myself in line for it and hearing people say "why ride it, it looks just like Storm Runner."  I just don't see the public appeal of the ride, though personally I think it is looking to be one heck of a ride.

I wanna say cable lift judging by the way the lift looks. Kind of has that MF and ET lift look.

It would be pretty sweet if it was an LSM lift like Maverick, but I'm pretty sure I read a while back that it wouldn't be.

I agree 100%.  I'll ride it once for the credit, but I don't see myself riding it much more than that.  IMO, Comet is the best coaster at Hershey.  Unfortunately, Comet always has a long line.

Hmm... I'm more a fan of SooperDooerLooper and Wildcat... honestly, every coaster there except Trailblazer, Roller Soaker and the boomerang are all awesome rides.

agreed.
I was also thinking it would be a cable lift. The track on the hill looks like one that would have a cable lift and the winch at the bottom of the hill looks like something that El Toro has.

^ I enjoyed it SO much more with the old trains. The MF trains take away quite a bit of the intensity that it used to have.
