ACE Day at Hershey 6/28/08

If anyone is interested, I just found out that ACE Day at Hershey is scheduled for Saturday, 6/28.  We had wanted to go, but will probably pass since the price is rather steep for the little you get.  It's $43.50 for non-season pass holders and $17 for season pass holders.  All that you get is a meal and 1 hour night ERT on Farenheit.

Last year I went and got about 21+ rides on Storm Runner in the hour ERT.
they let us stay on the trains. ( i know another even weeks later they made you walk around)
they ran both sides and the trains had empty seats maybe about 30 people ERT.

I think only 40+ people attended this event.but I think they had another event in Ohio / Indiana at this same time
but that was fine by me since more rides for me.

I don't have a season pass so $43 is a good price for a ALL you can eat and ERT especially on the new coaster.
I'm sure attendance will be in the 100+ range this year.
and with the new caster opening up there will be less lines during the day at Storm runner and other coasters.

I would've been more interested if they included other coasters in the ERT and possibly had ERT in the morning as well.  I don't expect to like Farenheit so one ride would be enough for me.  If we go on our own, I could get a ticket for less than $43.50 and just go to Farenheit at opening to get my one ride.

It's also questionable if they'll let you stay on or not since you could at the ACE event last year, but not at the WNYCC event.  Plus, with more people and less capacity, you might not even be able to stay on regardless.

It's interesting how some events are such excellent values when others hardly give you anything.  For example, I think this event at Hershey is overpriced, but an event like Coastin' By The Ocean at Morey's is an amazing value.  Another one is ACE events at Lake Compounce which don't give any discount to season pass holders.  For season pass holders, it's just not worth the price.

last years 11pm ERT was late.
we actually went to my truck for about an hour or more to kill some time. try to sleep
then the ride opps forgot and ERT was about 1/2 hour late getting started.

But yes a mourning ERT  on any of the other coasters would make sense.
here me Torrence Jenkins  if your listening  or maybe the park is only giving them one time ?

I normally prefer AM  ERTs

I'm waiting for the day when they have night ERT on the wooden coasters... I know the park offers an over night in the park event, but I'm pretty sure you need to be in school for that. I wonder if there's a way to pay someone off ??

Yeah, I'm not really interested unless there is ERT on the woodies or at least Storm Runner again. I don't care for getting up early for morning ERT, so that's fine by me. If I'm not going elsewhere that day, I'll probably go though since I have a season pass and I'll probably enjoy Fahrenheit enough to warrant some ERT so I don't have to wait for it more than once with the crowds.
