If I can only pick between those five, it would be:

1. Voyage
2. Boulder Dash
3. Thunderhead
4. Phoenix
5. El Toro

Regardless, Voyage and BD are my top two and the other three are fantastic rides as well.

Its good to see The Beast in at #8

I still got to get on Boulder Dash and Thunderhead

But the Voyage is in the #1 spot as it should be.
as my taste in Wooden coasters are similar to Matts mine would rank about the same

I am glad that Ravine Flyer II took the number one spot for best new coaster of 2008, but am surprised that it did not take a spot in the top 10 wooden coasters of 2008.

These awards are based on number of people who have ridden the ride. Not everyone who voted made it to Waldameer this year. That said, despite how good RF2 is, it's not the "end all, be all" of wood coasters. It's probably in my personal top ten out of the more than 100 woodies I've ridden, but there are so many GREAT rides out there, so it's not surprising RF2 didn't rank at the top in its first year. I'm sure it's ranking will go up once more people have ridden it, but I can't imagine it's not going to rank higher than Voyage. It pales in comparison.

Yea, I didn't think about that until after I posted that comment. Hey, it got 11th place which is pretty damn good for it's first year in operation and only one spot away from being in the top 10.
