Computer Suggestions
« on: November 19, 2008, 02:59:45 PM »
Ok guys over winter break, I am going to set up a mini monitor wall in my room. I have two computer monitors ( a 20 and a 22) and will be buying a 32 or 37 inch tv to mount on the wall above them. Now I want to be able to hook them all up to my computer so I can watch movies and such on the TV and use the two monitors at the same time. Do I need to get two video cards so I can hook up all three tv's or can I use the onboard hdmi video and a video card for the DVI monitors?

You need two DVI ports on your computer for two monitors.

I obviously know that since I have my two monitors hooked up. But I also want to be able to have an HDMI out to hook up a third monitor (the TV). If I buy a mobo with an HDMI out and a video card with two DVI ports, will that work or will the video card negate the onboard video?
