Time for some Aerial Photos from April 19, 2009....
« on: April 20, 2009, 08:06:51 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I finally did a fly-over on Sunday, though despite the mellow looking sky it was quite bumpy up there. I shot some areas of interest including Bizarro, plus some overview shots as well including the BONEYARD. Looks like Jumpin Jack Flash is no longer there, or possibly moved indoors. Not many folks were in attendance at noon time, though I hope more showed up later in the day for the park's sake.

You can find the park gallery HERE:   http://www.flyinphilsphotos.com/amuse/nj/sfga/2009-04-19/album0

And the Bizarro (Medusa) Update gallery HERE:  http://www.flyinphilsphotos.com/amuse/nj/sfga/medusa/2009-04-19/album0

Enjoy :)

Thanks Phil. If you zoom in on picture three you can see one of the flamethrowers along with prep for the auger of doom being done. And if you have really good eyes you can see some white squares in the the middle of the helix ???  Could these be another effect like fog ???

Jump's operator's booth and gondolas are still around but the ride chasis is gone and the Time Warp gondolas are gone but the ride chasis is still there. Chaos is around too.

The Bugs Bunny Land rides that had not been added to Balins are still visible, except for the Duckaneer.

Great updates. Thanks Phil!

I would love to see JJJ make a return to the park. Let hope that it is in rehab. Maybe it could become a heavily themed indoor ride if it could fit in Chillers Observatory. Strobes and fog and music...you know, the works.

Was it on purpose that they made the M when you walk in to the entrance for Medusa... get it M for Medusa

^^ Me23,  While heading on 537 towards Wawa  turn your head right  and look through the  trees before you get to the employee entrance.

Nitro , I'm confused?  Are you talking about the Cobra Roll?  Or a walkway?

I think the Cobra Roll was more for the snakes-in-the-hair theme than an M for Medusa.

I think the boneyard is beyond nitro and congo rapids. To the left of those two large grey buildings where they store trains in the off season.

Exactly right. And I do want to point out that there is no general public access to this area. I know that's obvious to most of us but I didn't want people getting any crazy ideas and then say we told them where to go lol
