Six Flags Over Georgia Underwater
« on: September 23, 2009, 10:54:37 AM »
If you havnt already heard six flags over georgia is UNDERWATER!

http://blog.taragana.com/n/six-flags-under-water-8-dead-many-missing-175427/

So what do you think they will do? The steel coasters should be ok for the most part but all that water will destroy the wood coasters. :'(

Who knows what they will do, look at six flags new orleans. They are prolly looking for any excuse to close some six flags parks so dont be suprised if they say its unrepairable.

Nothing to worry about...I used to live in the ATL, and the Chatahoochee River floods regularly. The lower end of the park has been flooded like that before, and it's only about 25% of the park.  This is a worse flood than normal, but they still expect to reopen this weekend.

I would say it all depends on how long the water sits, Being underwater for a day or two wont affect any of the rides as long as the trains and electronics are out of the water.

It is GASM.

The controls and electronics for the most effected coasters are still above water, so they should bounce back. The Wheelie (Enterprise) and all of Thomas Town are almost completely submerged:

I have a feeling a whole lot of rides and the entire thomas town will not be open Sat. In fact, TT probably needs the most cleanup work. I do feel bad because this is certainly a headache no park wants in this economy but between knoebles and sfog, I'm sure they know what to do. This still is the worst I've seen sfog though.

Eh, better this year than in past years.

I gotta say, I was there for the 2004 flood, we camped in it. IT was terrible.  Yet when we woke up, half the park was opened.  It was incredible.
