What's with the little bump hill after the first drop? Are they using that for a quick shot of air-time or something?

Yes. It's a double-up. Because they made the first drop so much steeper than the original, they had a long dead spot at the bottom to work with before climbing up into the high banked turn.

(double-up, double-down, turnaround!!!) it would be great if Texas Giant got both a double up AND a double down!

Like Phoenix? :)

Yes, it would be great and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they throw the double-down in. I'm anxiously awaiting to see just how far they take the re-profiling. It's going to have sick overbanked turns so Shoe will be thrilled. ;)

Overbanks, me likey!!!

(I've been making some designs for when I buy NoLimits in the next few weeks, and 5 of the 9 designs have overbanks in some way, shape or form.)

this thing's taking engineering to another level. I think this could run for a solid top 10 next year for wooden coasters.

Definitely not a wood coaster anymore. It's no different than Gemini or any mine train with a wooden structure.

But it looks WAY better than Millennium Force and El Toro. :)

apparently if you mix El Toro with Millennium Force you get Texas Giant... Two wrongs that make one right never sounded truer.

I love El Toro.  I find Millennium Force a snooze fest...to be kind.

I certainly hope the new Texas Giant is not a mix of the two.

I hope its new "effects" are worth the money and actually add something to the ride.

Nope.  In my book, Maverick is 1, but ONLY in the front seat.
